@jumjum : both correct, yup

eh eh, a future release of FH2 could be "FH2 storms the Net" with only raid/commando/paradrop objective maps

... Eben-Emaël, Crete, Merville Battery, Pegasus Bridge, Pointe du Hoc, Narvik...

@Ionizer : to be honest I found the picture on Wikipedia, but I put it anyway because it was a good picture showing what such a map could be

In a St. Nazaire map I would envision hella lot of German mg nests and 20mm emplacements. And if FH2 has the tracers as we are led to believe - Wow! Crisscrossing all over.

I have a whole folder full of St. Nazaire pics.

The one problem is, the beached destroyer in the harbor, must blow up killing nearly everyone at the end. lol

The commando fight was mostly the commandos trying to escape, the huge bomb was on the ship, so it was purely a matter of escape for the British once they rammed the ship into the docks. They however, were mostly all captured or killed.

So it would be a difficult map to do historically accurate.

You forget the secondary objectives, reducing MG and FlaK nests, FlaK towers and german patrol boats, torpedoe the others dock's doors, manually blowing off the tide gates, pump houses, hoists, boxes, etc...

btw, the 24 submarine depht charges in the HMS Cambeltown only explose the day after thanks to a fuse device

Plus, escaping from the port zone could be a last bonus objective, even if I dont see how code that with the BF2 engine

exclaim Battle of Britain

Battle of Britain
10 May 1940

The Second World War began on 1 September 1939 when Germany invaded Poland, and Britain and France delcared war as a result. A new type of combined operations tactics which the Germans called Blitzkrieg were used where tanks, troops and aeroplanes attacked together and smashed through any traditional defences. Using this method, Poland was captured in just 28 days, despite heroic, often sucicidal defence of their homeland by the Polish armed forces. After this, the British and French Governments, among others, tried a number of political solutions to prevent the spread of war, all the while reinforcing positions in Northern France with land and air forces from Britain. Known as the Allied Expeditionary Force and Advanced Air Striking Force respectively, these forces moved into position, and waited. This period was know as the 'Sitzkrieg' or 'Phoney War' as the armies stared at one another across the German / French border, and the air forces flew standing patrols and reconnaissance missions, probing for weaknesses. On 9 April 1940, the peace was shattered as the same 'Blitzkrieg' tactics were used against Denmark and Norway. A British Force was sent to help the Norwegians, but the Allied Forces were outnumbered and quickly overwhelmed. Worse was to come.

RAF - Royal Air Force
Hawker Hurricane
Supermarine Spitfire
Bristol Blenheim
Bristol Beaufighter

Luftwaffe - The Imperial German Army Air Service
Messerschmitt Me109
Messerschmitt Me110
Junkers Ju87 "Stuka"
Junkers Ju88

THIS IS A MUST!

Already in FH1, you can certainly expect its appearance (in more realistic form I'm sure) in FH2 if/when development gets to the appropriate theatre.
