Malta would be a neat and different map, consisting of air and naval combat only.
i would like to see a decent AA from ships in malta, the FH one is a bit too weak(yet too accurate), to be fun(perhaps the devs code an control AA only ship), this map should have no axis ships, and no chutes of course...

Great thing about Malta is it could be two maps. An early war Italian one and a late war German one - different equipment, same map, different objectives.

Musska, a new somua.com member, is living in St Malo, France

He had a great map idea : the German remaining pockets on the France's coasts in 1945, the St Malo's pocket in particular

He started to model some Atlantik Wall's blockhaus and a 5cm KwK

Here's his work, that he would be glad to offer to the dev team :

And the original models :

He made it with 3Dsmax and a lot of patience.
Kwk's weight : 3k polygons

Those last two were very realistic!

I like the idea of bunker fighting, but as an infantry map (or is it a naval map?) it seems fairly limited in what tactics to use. "FH Atlantik Wall - where the flamethrower and satchel charge pwn."

Hello, the last 2 are 4 bf6 but its a secret
The Festung Saint-Malo was impossible to defeat by an amphibious assault, truly suicidal, the US forces operate a breaktrough by the earth side. There were 5 major stronghold covering each other,i wish made 1 map 4 each, i think objective map would be great, destroy all blockhaus gun to make the stronghold surrender, then switch the other map(sector) & if the defender keep the gun "healthy" let's play another round!
Believe me the fight become more & more intense by approching the German headquarters (30 meters under rocks), near the oldtown burning(85% destruct).
The tactic use was heavy arty barrage (210mm long-tom) & all the power of 8th Air Force (First use of Naptha-jel-bomb:Napalm), smoke cover & rush!!
I know that some improvements are needed in gameplay 4 the "genius" to destroy anti-tank & infantry obstacles cause this kind of battle looks like urban warfare, percing wall 4 a secure progression.
I like "push map" or Assault & secure kinda map, with teamplay & concentrate fight, 4 me the best way to enjoy a network game.
Of course flamethrower !!

Monte Cassino January 17 1944 - May 19 1944.

Really looking forward to this map, thought EA did an OK first up attempt but the FH devs will do the mother of all versions for this map!!

A nice objective map would be Operation Chariot a.k.a. St Nazaire's Raid

Near the city of Nantes, the french port of St Nazaire was the only Atlantic port under German control with a dry dock (La Forme Joubert a.k.a. Normandie Dock after the name of the famous steamship wich was built here) wide enough to be able to fix the Tirpitz battleship, usually berthing in a Norwegian fjord.

So Churchill though if this dock could be destroyed, Raeder wouldn't engage his battleship to threaten the Western Approaches in the Atlantic Battle.

Mountbatten's commandos attacked on 27th-28th march, 1942, with several light fast boats and an outdated destroyer loaded with explosive wich goal was to ram the dock's door.

After a diversionary bombing raid of the RAF, the commandos get into the port, with 24 secondary objectives to destroy and for main goal the huge dry dock itself.

This is a famous story, and it was a complete success for the Allies.

It could be a nice objective map, with combinated operation, bombing, port and urban warfare, a main objective to destroy and several smallers

And, for one time, the manpower involved on each side tallies with these of a FH map

Perhaps I am confusing my commando raids, but IIRC this one involved an entire Commando (about 700 men), correct? And weren't British casuaties horrendously high, around 50%?
