| Grebbeberg is very hard to make: the trenches were in the woods, the gunners had no clear sights (this because the Dutch government thought it was too expensive to pay for the woodcutting permit) and there was a lot of confusion and lack of communication among the Dutch troops which made them shoot at each other. I think the Fallschirmjäger attack at Moerdijk bridge is cool, and balanced enough. It could be an objective/flagcap map as well: destroy all casemats and take the bridge flag.

![]() Though with alot of vegetation, trees and static trenches your there really fast. It doesn't has to be 100% accurate. Look at Gazala, thats not 100% accurate, the battlefield is way too large for that. |

| True, but a bridge fight could be made more accurately.

| Grebbeberg would be semi-accurate and bridge would be very accurate. Would be nice And also some East Indie maps with the Dutch! Don't know much about Dutch in pacific but that could make a total of 5 maps? Makes it worth adding our silly army. |

| Mmm, the Dutch vs the Japanese will be a rape map in Java sea. I don't think the devs would like to spend time on making a map on which one side really can't win ![]() But maybe we can have a map on which the Canadians and the BS (Binnenlandse Strijdkrachten) are fighting together in southern Holland, or where the Princess Irene Brigade is acting alongside the allies. A bit like how the Germans and the Italians are fighting together at Sidi Rezegh now.

| I would like to suggest the battle (or incident) of Khalkin Gol, May 11 - September 16, 1939, to be added to the coming pacific theatre patch. For several reasons. 1) Since the Kwantung Army lost the battle, Japan decided to take on the US and occupied south east asia instead of trying to occupy Soviet Siberia in 1941. 2) I think it's important to sometimes deviate from "the major campaigns" and "the most famous of battles" and leave room for sideshows and the small, yet not totally insignificant battles. One such example is the "Siege of Giarabub". It's really a great map, perhaps the best map of all in this mod. Since this "incident" lasted until September 16. It postdates the commonly accepted outbrake date of WW2 (September 1) by 15 days, thus it was a part of WW2 and not just an interwar conflict. | I suggest the Dieppe Raid The Dieppe Raid, also known as The Battle of Dieppe or Operation Jubilee, during the second world war , was an allied attack on the German-occupied port of Dieppe Seinne-Inférieure on the Northern coast of France on 19 August 1942. Over 6,000 infantry, predominantly Canadian, were supported by large British naval and Allied air force contingents. The objective was to seize and hold a major port for a short period, both to prove it was possible and to gather intelligence from prisoners and captured materials while assessing the German responses. The operation was a complete failure with as result 1200 casualties on the allied side. It would be a good addition to the Normandy campaign because it was the first expeditionary assault on western Europe. Last edited by Dutch_resistance; January 16th, 2009 at 08:48 AM.. |

| 1942 is not 1944 so don't expect it in the Normandy release. Equipment is different, requires some special statics to be made and a mapper who wants to make it. Though I would love to see it I don't see a change it's any soon. |
