How about this?:


Team has a counter that reads 50%-50%(with a pretty blue and red line!). As flags get captured you bleed, 51-49, 52-48...Now, if you make a comeback it moves backwards. Opinoins?

I think theres a risk of witnessing never ending rounds. It would also screw up map design : attackers wouldn't have the "rush" of attacking, if they know they can "take back" the tickets they lost. This would also be negative for defenders, who would have difficulty to win by tickets.

On a map with real attackers(OMG-aha Beach) something like this 64%-36%. You could also say what ever is bleed cannot come back(Wether it be secret tickets or something like 4%-5%).

In a way I agree because they didn't have to kill every single guy, but to take a place from the enemy you pretty much have to destroy them (or I guess scare them into a retreat).

Screw tickets, strategic objective capturing should be the cornerstone of gameplay (whatever form that may take).

Why should you lose tickets because you have not yet taken the objective?
You win when you reach your objectives. You lose if you do not.
If you are the attacker you should loose tickets (if we are going to use tickets) for losing men/material (if latter is possible). The defender should win by defending and not by running around recapping stuff thus causing the other side to bleed not because they have lost men but because they have less flags.

Objectives are the goals of combat. If you manage to kill the enemy while doing it, fine.

Numbers of dead mean nothing!
The germans took eben email and iirc <20 people died and was a major victory (for that time).
And the allies lost thousands in normandy (compared to the germans) and still got every objective while doing it.

I think we need some kind of system that reflects this. I do not know how it could be done so I leave that up to those who know.

Yeah but some unstrategic control points should be there too...mainly because vehicle spawns and you never know when you are going to need sending reinforcments from there
