Hey
Well I might be ridiculus or not having information on my desk, perhaps I have missed something when I'm suggestion the following...
I want the view of the pilots to be increased in the sky, down and up and to sides (now I don't mean the look around in cockpit) but the range of the view. Yet the tactic fly high up and spot a fighter far down and dive and blast it before he notice is not working very well now, well to some extent perhaps... And it is useless not too see anything futher away than 20 meters. Now you will say oh you cant escape when he sees you everywhere. But where is all the clouds!!! ? now I mean the fat clouds which you can't see through .
Ok other details, uhm
I love FW 190, but there simply aint any maps with it! well TDP only plays certain maps 24/7 "cough" Omaha/Tobruk/Ramelle/etc etc
But FW 190 also has the worst vertical ruder in the game, good speed and spin though + armament.
Improve vert ruder!
Ok think that was all, unless you can change annoying players taking planes and then crashes 10 sec later plane spawn 5 min!!!
Hhehe comment plx

I know what you mean, but I don't think it'll make it in as it's not that realistic. If anything, I have a feeling visibility will be even worse as the nose-cam is getting euthanised. I'd actually like it if you could maybe see the top of your oxygen mask and some of your helmet when in first-person view?

Clouds should be in. Just 2D surfaces up in the sky with opaque-to-transparent surfaces.
I think that big clouds should be added maybe they could even move a bit on projected track and even block the sun on some maps to make it dark, woulden't that be great.
On the note of plane views, i agree you should be able to see farther, but lets face it, in real life you have the whole sky to look at if you take the time to look around on a game map you go outside the area limit. It just does not seem a prority unless the maps become larger.
I know that flying a plane is definietly the most limited vehicle IMHO. The caveat here is that the person you are flying against has the same limitations as you with the views external and internal. There are a few matchups that may have disadvantages. Certain planes can "look" alittle further to the right or left, but that is the way its supposed to be. This is a mod. They do the best they can, but to try to get a flight sim from a dice based game will take a long time. If you do want the shizz check out the "Parhelia" video card from Matrox. At one point BF supported the "surround gaming" video card but the idea was nerfed after a certain patch because of complaints. That annoys me to no end. Cause I would have used it LOL. I beleive it is still usable with single player though.
OK I am amazed by that set up...but the screens are not flat! :P
Actually the same thing goes for the tanks, you know. Many german tanks at the tundra blasted the "weak" :P T34 from several kilometers easily, and well. Not that imba since it must be harder to hit.
Even if those screens are not flat I don't htink that many people can afford such config for a simulator.
As for clouds, we can't realy achive other than 2D ones, just consisting of bliboards rotated in different directions. Anyway, it's rather hard to make them look good and not performance expensive at the same time.
Anyway, there are already animated clouds on certain height in Bf2, I'm just not sure if they are set on level from sea or if they are always kept at this distance from player...
The video cards would be waaay expensive, the crt's and the boxes would actually be cheap. You could pick those kinds of things up all over the place. He could know someone who is retooling an office and has hundres of those CRT's available. Who knows, but you can always find stuff like that.
