And thats why i love it, its more like actually spotting, while in fh its more of a "i've seen that vehicle somewhere traveling in some direction!"

is it possible we could implement the option of choosing between either one?

Exactly, that's why I like to suggest a combo. Leave the spotting function as it is (the commo rose way) and let everything else be as it was in BF1942. :)

Personaly i like the bf2 sptting way, but maybe the other controls could be done the bf42 way. but if there are no cross airs in FH2, like i want, the como rose will requeire efeort than.

but i think that BF1942 radio command system is simpler, all you do is press 2 buttons, and what i noticed in BF2 was the the radio command screen blocked your vision, which isnt a good thing.

(BF1942 radio command system looks better too:naughty: looks more "WWII-ish" which is a good thing because FH2 is a WWII mod. BF2 radio system looks more "modern" and an ugly shade of neon)

hey devs, is it possible you could implement the option of choosing between the BF2 radio system and the BF1942 radio system?

I personally have never had a problem with the commo rose, I did however hate the way 1942 made me memorise the F keys. And even then it imo was hardly worth using.

Foodmaniac, you do realise HUd colour etc. can be changed don't you?

Spotting vehicles as such, meh, dunno, we had a huge long-ass discussion about vehicles that should show up on the mini-map. I still don't think you should be able to spot anything and have it show, arcade 2006 battlefield tech every-grunt-has-a-radio style.

If only the devs have more access to the source code of BF2. They could customize that certain features of the commo rose can only be relayed to the team if you're in a squad. If you're lone wolf, it will only produce an audible audio with no text to inform the team.

Good point. Too bad the commo rose is ass interface ergonomics. :-)

Good point Fuzz. Perhaps it could be made so you can only point and specify which vehicle? What I mean is, having the automated spotting feature removed. So you could say 'enemy tank spotted' and the icon would pop up, but it would NOT follow the tank. I always found it annoying how the spotting feature would feed their exact movements to you.

Althoguh even spotting the location of the enemy behicle is technically unrealistic as well, it would be possible in real lfie to relay information like 'enemy tank in front of the barn' or something of that sort. The spotting can cover that.

I also (which I assume ahs been suggested already) suggest that the grid squares be added again. A1, B7, D9, etc. They were very useful imo. Not to mention more realistic.
