what would the point be to have a A-20/B-26 kit when they're already in the map or similar medium bombers. A B-17 would be optimal on this map.

Realism.

The B-17 was only used for the purposes of Close Air Support once, during the breakout from the Normandy area codenamed Operation Cobra. Besides, what is wrong with having another bomber around? One that the team can afford to send on those perilous missions into the heart of the German main, bombing the King Tiger and Go-226 spawns? I have no problem with it.

I like realism, but in Alpenfestung? There's a friggin' UFO in it in case you didn't noticed.

The B-17 was a stragetic bomber, not a Close Air Support attacker.

But fine, how about a B-25?

He came back to the civilised world with less than half the number of men he went with. Why did he turn back?
Hmm, haven't heard about those 3000 US soldiers, do you remember something else, I'd like to see if I can find more info about that, those whacky theories amuse me.
But if we're gonna come up with real weird stories, nazis, or Hitler himself according to some, came to Argentina in submarines (I wouldn't disagree with those versions so far, well except for the Hitler part), and those who didn't settled in our south, took the subs to Antarctica, and found the thousand of miles wide hole that leads to Earth's hollow core (which according to other insane nazi theories, is where we are right now, so the holes would lead, outside?), then started developing flying saucers and Devs only know what else.

Edit: USMA, what I mean is that even if it was just used once in that role, that's enough, some of the stuff already there was either not used at all or didn't existed. But well, I guess we could leave the unrealistic things just for the Nazis, so sure, making it a B-25 would be fine, tho now that I think of it, I doubt there'll be any changes in Alpenfestung for 0.7.

LOL yes they are insane but not really impossible, are they? You can google "Nazi UFO WWII german" and it was in a 6-page or so article with 1 paragraph about it. All else I remember is that supposedly Hitler set up production of UFO aircraft and is still raiding and scaring the world, plus Argentina is basically his forward base of operations. Still sound crazy don't it!

Well, apparently people always are saying they've seen UFOs in some wild areas here, one not too far from where I live, just across the river. But nobody sees nazis, or should I better say, nobody wants to say they've seen them. Seriously, the stories about the subs landing in our southern coast have quite some supporters, and they've caught several nazi refugees here (and others are perfectly well known and still live here), so the relationship of our government of that time with them is pretty much undeniable.

Stupid question but, why Hitler has the eagle in his arm like in an SS uniform? He really wore a jacket like that, or it's just there because the guy needed to fill the arm with something in the drawing?

Actually that was his uniform after 1942. Before he had a tan colored uniform with the red Swastika armband. Before that he had the uniform of the Sturmabtielung or SA.

Pre-1942 Uniform

SA Uniform
