Wake Island Gernades?
 

I played the Wake Island map, I have to say I like the Bf1942 map for one and only one reason only...foliage...It seems to me wake Island is bare as hell...but I'll accept the realistic map, I'm not sure, but didnt the Marines, who fought on Wake had grenades painted Yellow, and had Water-Cooled browning Mg's...Instead of what is there...Oh I really like the Thompson 1928 smg. I would like to see that for some of the U.K. forces, since the brits hated the lousy Sten gun.

Wake is the best map there is in FH, and I agree with your suggestions. Maybe a patch of grass could be added in a few places where the terrain is pretty flat. (Using the same method as the wheat fields in counterattack.) (Though I must say I am quite content with the way Wake looks as it is. Perhaps nothing should be changed about the enviroment under the motto "If it's not broken, don't fix it"...) Also, I think the entire pacific campaign used yellow painted grenades and they'll make a fine edition to the atmosphere. Ofcourse, water cooled brownings to replace the .50 cals would be amazing.

Maybe make the shores a bit whiter? :

Wake is far from the best map. Also there were no über bofors guns

Well, I just think it is a little bare.....basically making it pretty hard for guerilla tactics...

Wake is one of my least favourite maps, but I'm biased because I don't like most of the pacific maps.

Yellow Grenades would be great, and it doesn't look like they'd be hard to skin (just spray some yellow onto the current model?). I think what I don't like about Wake is that it is too large to be an all infantry map, but doesn't have any tanks etc. For some reason, there never seems to be adequate transport for the team (must be those rambos heading off with a truck to themselves) and when you are in a truck, it seems like only seconds before you get strafed by a plane.

I suppose the fact that it is one of my least favourtite maps and is Lightning's favourite map just goes to show how much FH caters for everyones tastes. It isn't possible to say "Wake is far from the best map" because it's such a subjective subject.

...By the way, Falaise Pocket is easily the best map. ;)

Never! Everyone know that the best map is Arnhem! Since I am in a german playing clan, I love it!

As for those grenades, I remember them looking a bit differebnt in the thin red line. They looked more like someone just got a brush over them, cause only the outersides of the fragments was yellow. (If you get what I'm saying...)
