Default Battle of Atlantic map suggestion...

I think that FH should have more naval based maps so here's a random idea I thought of. Maybe we could have a map based in the Atlantic around 1940 when the Americans were sending convoys over to Britain.

This map would have the Americans having to protect 2 Battleships (there are no convoy ships in FH are there?) against the Germans until the German tickets run out. The 2 Battleships would be escorted by 2-4 destroyers and maybe submarine. The Allies will also have 1 or 2 P40s or Spitfires as air cover (selectable spawn point like Wake and Tarawa).

The Germans would have 3-4 U-boats, a Battleship and maybe 1 or 2 destroyers.

The Allied Destroyers would have a respawn time of 1-2 minutes while the German ships will have a respawn time of 2-3 minutes.

This would be an objective map where the Germans MUST sink both Allied Battleships to cause Allies to lose.

I know this might lag like hell for most of you, but it might be fun for the rest of you who have awesome computers.

Your thoughts?

If you want to make fun of an illiterate person, write it to them.

Yes, there are convoy ships (play desert rose). And Rhuienenberg (i know i spelled it like an ass) does not lag, i think it was an Atlantic exclusive problem. Adding a far away carrier would be better than planes spawning in the air, convoys were often escorted by light carriers anyway. But convoy destruction in the atlantic was mostly done by subs i think . A better map would be a british convoy going to Murmansk, in russia. There we could put a german cruiser or even *hypothetical* the Tirpitz, and we could place the unused Grevny destroyer. Maybe a FW200 condor if we ever get one .

Why not include rescue tugs like the HCMS Franklin to go and use them as the engineer boat? cant repair himself but repairs others.

I also miss more naval maps.

Rheinuebung is cool, but spawntime is long if you lost both battleships...

A map about the Scharnhorst think it was sinking the Glorious or any other of historical naval battles (or even not historical correct ) would be cool.
Also an Pacific map would be great. With the Kongo or even Yamato

A lot good infos can be found here:

I think we need a naval map with no BB's

Just liberty ships, destroyers, and seaplanes vs. destroyers, subs, and patrol aircraft

(Actually it would be really cool to add in an anti-submarine blimp for the convoy)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

couldnt it be poslible to ad a Catalina or a Short Sunderland to the Rheinuebung map...??
this planes can trow Depth Charge,do recon misions (to find u-boats) or SAR misons:
Search And Rescue...wen i play Rheinuebung, and a alied ship is sunk.. ther are a lot peaple dying becaus the isnt a rescue vessel (only te 2 smal lcvp)...but most of the time that isnt good enougf : ore some noob that dont rescue his mates!
if ther isnt eney alied vessel in the area it should be usfull if ther is a fast big plane ..who can pic up surviors ...and bring the to a save spot or 1 of ther own vessels.. if it is posible to put in 4 or 6 seat 4 surviors it sould be fantastic
