about ba-64 The BA-64 was the first Soviet armored car with four-wheel drive, and it could climb 30° slopes, cross 0.9 m ford and 18° slippery hill-sides. The vehicle could move on sand very well. The survivability of the BA-64 was increased by using bullet-proof tyres. The driver's observation visor was made of removable bullet-proof glass (also known as triplex). The same glass was used for the turret's embrasures. The 7.62 mm Degtyarev's machine-gun was mounted on a universal machine-gun ring, which allowed a 360° rotation. Some of BA-64's (41.5%) were equipped with wireless RB-64 or 12-RP. The BA-64. The 36th Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Corps of the 3rd Ukrainian Front. Near the Razdelnaya railstation. 1944. Most successful was the BA-64 in street fighting, where the ability to fire on upper floors was very important. BA-64's and BA-64B's were used in all major operations and battles of the Eastern Front. A total of 8174 armored cars from both types were accepted for the Red Army, 3390 of which had a wireless. In 1946, the last 62 vehicles were manufactured, bringing a total of 3901 BA-64's and 5209 BA-64B's being manufactured. BA-64B's on the streets of the liberated Bucharest. 1944 After the war, BA-64B's served in the Soviet Army as training vehicles until 1953. Other countries of the Warsaw Pact used them much longer. Poland received 81 BA-64's and BA-64B's, Czechoslovakia - 10, DDR (Eastern Germany) used them as police armored cars. Many vehicles were sent to Yugoslavia, China and Northern Korea. from http://www.battlefield.ru/ba64.html
It wasn't a great model and the thing only had a DP. Might be neat for scouty stuff but that's largely fluff anyhow.

BA-64 It is close in characteristics light to armoured car SdKfz-221, more armored and it is a little more a maneuverability. Lost in arms SdKfz-222. Used forscoutingand infantry support.
BA-10M It is close in characteristics to German heavy armoured car SdKfz-231 (232) and SdKfz-234. More smaller weight and morearmoredthan SdKfz-231, but lost in a maneuverability. Arms BA-10 the same as arms tanks T-26 and BT-7 at smaller in 2-3 times weight. Used for scouting andand infantry support. Cases of successful using BA-10 against enemy tanks are known.
I'd love to see a map where the FX-1400 Fritz-X Guided Bomb could be used, have it be the German attack against the Italian fleet when they surrendered. It would certainly be an interesting map and would be unique to try. And it would be a map where Battleships would actually play a pivtoal role, the Germans would have to sink a certain number of ships to reduce the Italian points.
Although it wonder how one could do the Italian points, prehaps they could have a spawn point at the opposite end of the map from where they start and if the Italian's reach the spawn point it drops the German points to nothing.
Although it would mean a lot of warships, three or so battleships, three or so destroyers and a seaplane tender or something, although Torpedo Boats shouldn't be in as they could get across the map before the Germans could attack.
It could have four or five aircraft and maybe an E-Boat or something.

So they would have to model a whole fleet of battleships and cruisers only to make a map were they will have them destroyed by a few germans using a couple of wired bombs while the Italians would have to wait until the enemy team kills them?
If it was possible to have the Italian fleet reduce the German points if they make it across the map to a spawn point or something, otherwise it would be remarklably retarded if they simply sat there. And the German bombers would need to get relatively close as the bombs didn't have a particularily long range. And with even a couple fully loaded battleships it wouldn't be a cake walk for the Germans. I'd guess warships could easily share a lot of parts and the seaplane tender could likely use a lot of Liberty ship parts for convenience.
Of course any map where the guided bombs could be used would be quite fun, as they did score a number of victories when used and are certainly an interesting weapon.
So what, the b17 and the lancaster are also heavy bombers and the b29 is not that bigger.
Who said anything about size? My comment,

It's a bomber

a air-war style map that takes place in the air.
Ergo, Captain Supermarket, your claims about the B29, B17 and the lancaster may be correct, but they are certainly neither pertinent nor relevant.
Sorry to dig up an aging thread, I haven't been by this way much as of late...

Now is the time for tremendous opportunities in relations with the Russians because they are hungry and cheap. At the same time, they run world-class scientific and technical centres which can be useful to us.

It has been listed above, the T-70 soviet light tank; in replacement for BT7s in 42-43.
The Puma 8 wheel chassis has been used for several other vehicles; Schwere Panzerspähwagen 234/x with various weapons (from 222's 2cm flak -> 234/1 to a pak40 -> 234/4)
The Luchs & Hetzer have already been mentionned, but i like em. The Panzer 1 Ausf E is also very interesting.
Last suggestion concerns a map about the battles in Crimea; not Sebastopol itself but the multiple infantry fights with few armor support between germans & soviets (only a few stugs facing a few T-34, T-26 & BT-7 on a wide field)
How bout the M4 halftrack from DICE's Raid on Agheila map from the Secret Weapons expansion pack? You know, the one with the mortar and the open top. The Americans and Brits could use an all purpose halftrack that acts as a mobile spawn point, machine gun nest, artillery, and armored personell carrier. I know it would be easy to get since you guys have the Flettner.
