This mod is great, and while I don't ever want it to stop, there comes a point when you really can't add too much more. :uhm:

Just remember, if they stop with '42, they probably will start with BF2. :)

Re: next version>LAST VERSION

This is the last version...on this game engine. After that all efforts will be spent on porting game to the new game engine, assumingly BF2.

Re: next version>LAST VERSION

One of the devs mentioned it a couple of weeks ago in his post that at this time .7 was more than likely going to be the last version on the current BF1942 engine, after that effort were going to dwitch towards moving to the new game engine.

Maybe I shouldnt have phrased it so it sounded so final.

If I had a clue or could remember what the topic of the thread was about I would try to look it up.

Considering that even if .7 released in 3-4 months the date would be not that far from the projected release date of BF2.

Re: next version>LAST VERSION

bf2 3/21/05

late september .65 - late december .66

now january 6 - march-april last release for 1942

if we are lucky the devs wont abondon us right away to work on BF2 and release the last FH on bf1942

Major Disinformation
If 0.7 is the last (major) release on BF42, then it would be logical to name it 1.0 (or 0.9, and then rerelease it as 1.0 as soon as it's been publicly checked for bugs), meaning that 0.7 will never exist (except internals). 0.66 seemed too good to need another bugfix; i've not noticed any huge bugs (pacific disconnect bug, etc)

Ugh. Dual wielded weapons! I want to be able to have an MP40 in one hand and a Thompson in the other... 133333337!

I really hope you're joking, and yes I read your next one.

Re: next version>LAST VERSION

I wouldn't be that dissapointed if this next release turned out to be the last, considering BF2 on the horizon. That game will offer so much more in the ways of mod support and new features that it's irrisistable to port over. Knowing that they are working on a BF2 release would hold me over on that (supposedly) last release.

Hehe, nice interpretation, but this time I was serious. I'm currently working on a version called 0.66A, no more, no less.

Re: next version>LAST VERSION

Honestly, I dont care about another release! The game is pretty full as it is, its got a ton of features and effects and relatively few bugs and no major ones. What I would like to see is the release of the map packs. I feel that FH has a ton of content, but it needs more maps!

with a name like 0.66a it sounds like its gonna be a small patch with many bug fixs and not many new vehicles. plz prove me wrong and list all the new vehicles being added:) :p

or more like an INTERNAL version...which means you won't get to see the changelog of that one until the next PUBLIC version is released.
