The Berlin Flak Towers I suggest a new map with the Flak Towers, planes, tanks, the Reichstag, the Brandenburg door and the Reich Chancellery http://www.geocities.com/lupinpooter/berlin.htm |
Re: The Berlin Flak Towers Call me silly but i think its a waste that all these structures were destroyed after the war.. :uhm: |
Re: The Berlin Flak Towers Yes the symbols of the Nazi govt being destroyed how stupid. wait sorry most were destroyed by the bombing and shelling |
Re: The Berlin Flak Towers It'd be cool if Battlefield 1942 supported huge structures. Then we could have entire maps focus on one building, such as the Reichstag, or maybe underground bunker complexes, etc, and return to FPS roots, from open battlefields to true close-quarter hallways :) (for some maps, not all.) Hopefully, though, they'll be able to do this with Battlefield 2. |

Re: The Berlin Flak Towers BF does support massive structures.... Have you ever played the DC oil rig map? The hole map is a static structure.... with hallways and levels and such. |
Re: The Berlin Flak Towers I don't know what that new Berlin Streets map by King Rudolph is going to be like, but I always thought that the Berlin level from Call of Duty, given a few tweaks, would make a great FH map. I suppose that it would be sort of like a combination of the current Berlin and Arnhem, with a few extras. The Russians would spawn at the edge of the map, and would be working their way toward the back or center, where the final objective would be the Reichstag. The Germans wouldn't have any mobile tanks, but instead a whole lot of AT guns, and maybe a KT or some other tanks dug into the streets. I recall somebody posting a picture of a KT turret sticking out of a street, supposedly in Berlin. There didn't seem to be much resistance in front of the Reichstag in CoD, but you could have a few embedded tank turrets and AT guns there too, and lots of mounted MGs. I can't imagine how much of a pain modeling a new building must be, but it'd be neat to have a Reichstag that you could actually walk through, although I'm sure it would have to be majorly simplified from reality, or even how it was portrayed in CoD. Ideally, the Germans could have plenty of places to shoot from its windows, and the last flag (push mode would rock) would be located on top of the building. |
