What he said. Oil Rig is just one big static, and it is very lag free.

Yeah, sometimes Oil Rigs seems a bit too big when I end up getting lost on either end while inside the superstructure trying to find my way back up to the surface. :D There's also DC's giant Nimitz class carrier on the same map, which is big enough to have a good firefight on as well.

GC ISD Judicator is another fairly large interior map. It's pretty neat looking when you get to the bridge and can look out to see a bunch of Rebel ships hovering around it.

Just imagine it though....a Reichstag with up to 64 people running around inside. There'll be so many grenades flying.

Well, Judicator is formed from series of static models put together, not one BIG model. I think so is Oil Rigs done too. So yes, if Reichstag was made out of several room statics, it would be less laggier than just one huge model. (Afaik)

And if it wasn't possible in BF42 there is always the chance it would be possible in BF2. The engine would certainly support infatry combat a little more.

It would make for one nice map if it was almost entirely in the building. Be a unique one comapred to most other maps where a building is three or four rooms maximum. Although a lot of details would have to be removed from the buildings. And it sounded like the Recihstag was pretty empty during WWII, said a fire took it out in 1933 and the Nazi's didn't really bother it that much.

Although that would require a Russian Flag pickup kit.

ah the Reichstag...i would love to fight around it....i remember in CoD..brilliant mission storming the reichstag...they should at least add a few different maps of berlin, maybe the seelow heights, BF berlin and maybe a map or two to at least show the famous sights in Berlin like the reichstag, Brandenburg gate and flak towers....although i'm not desperate for a map, i would love it none the less.
