No offense to the vets of the 82nd at Vith, but their story is not that exciting. The DiCE map is crap, and should be scrapped asap. i would like to see a map about the 101st defending bastagone. it should be about the size of foy, except the entire map should be forrested, with buildings in the far rear with some 105s (with less shells than normal) and med closets. the germans should have some tanks, but make them hard to move, like foy and the is2. idealy new custom pine trees should be used, seeing how the ardennes is thousands of years old.
the spawn kits

Officer Thompson
Rifleman, Garand (less ammo than normal)
Support, randomized between .30cal MGs and bazookas.
Medic, no ammo, just a knife and a medpack. (if the germans kill them, the one doing the kill should loose points)
engineer, carbine, mines, satchel, wrench
ai c47s should fly over and drop ammo randomly. maybe even make it so that if the germans cap a certain flag (one that makes the americans in deep shit) the 6thAD rides to the rescue in some shermans and jacksons.
German Armor:
1 Tiger/KT
A few captured shermans or various british tanks
a panzer4 ausfA.

Nice idea! To represent the 6th AD, how about three Shermans and a Jackson spawn at a rear US base if the Germans capture an imperitive flag? I beliebve that's codeable.

I mean its a pretty good idea but where exactly do the jacksons fit in? They won because armor came to the rescue (otherwise this map will be awfully one sided and not much fun to be spawn raped if your Allies).
I guess if there is one flag left some Jacksons can spawn and help push the Germans back, and that might add a nice element to the battle. Not only should there be custom pine trees, but lots of foxholes for the Allies to dig in and fortify themselves. Otherwise the Axis wil just roll over the weak Allied defenses.
It could be a good map, but it would have to be played right or it would just turn into a spawn rape fest when the Allies have only one flag left.
Basing BotB on Foy is way of scale. It has been suggested numberus times and I think you´ll find that Operation "Wacht am Rhein" has some similarities to the "Siege of Bastogne".
