Gearbox examples:

Pz VI Ausf E: 8 forward, 4 reverse

Pz V Ausf D: 7 forward, 1 reverse

Pz IV: 6 foward, 1 reverse

Pz III: 6 foward, 1 reverse

Maybe in North Carolina, but here in the UK abbreviation can be used in the place of acronym ;)
