1: Blood is good, but having a puff of dust would look really nice too. And no, because of bf shitty net code, its impossible to make blood draw when it actually hits the person, or it would already.
2: fuck no. thats the stupidest thing ive heard of. thats the only way of telling that youve actually hit something.
3: Fixed in .6 all weapons have been compleatly recoded. Rifles you must stop and aim for 1-3 seconds before accuratly fireing. Smgs own close quarters over rifles, but cant be used long range ect ect.
4: Impossible to do, but it doesnt matter in .6. no weapon's crosshairs close within 1 second now. mgs take a good 3 seconds to set up.
5: VERY difficult to code. Quazi was working on it, but i belive he gave up. he got as far as having the main weapon selected and shooting once (then the sound looped and he couldnt shoot again). so i wouldnt count on it. Just get off the tank and fight.
6: Impossible to code.
7: Impossible to code.
8: Impossible to code.

Yeah, I guess the impact detect crosshair was DICE's cheap way of solving their hit detection problems. By the looks of it, it doesnt appear that they will be fixing the hit detection either. I can shoot fine without it, but thats just me. When theres rediculous bugs in a game that game devs dont plan on fixing, going out of the way of realism to fix them seems reasonable to me now.
And about the other things, I never knew BF1942 was so damn limited.
Glad to see most of you agree with me though

I have a feeling that when Half-Life 2 and other good games come out this year, BF1942's player count will half itself. This is mainly due to the fact that the devs claim HL2 can do what BF1942 can, but only better.
