Boy survives hit by meteor Schler berlebt Meteoriten-Treffer - Mensch bei GMX The student Gerrit Blank from Essen was hit by a meteor on his way to school. The stone hit his hand, resulting in a small wound. He described the impact as "thunder" and suffered from a tinnitus hours after the accident. The stone had the size of a pea. What are the odds? Seriously... Also he will probably trigger a Zombie apocalypse after being contaminated by a germ from outer space. |
Re: Boy survives hit by meteor what's a Tinnitus? |

Re: Boy survives hit by meteor Its when you lose certain pitches of hearing, and sometimes get ringing in your ears. I have it, and its not painful or such, but can be annoying sometimes. |
Re: Boy survives hit by meteor It's often caused by too much loud music or shooting without hearing protection. |

Re: Boy survives hit by meteor Yep. BUt it does mean that I can fire rifles now without being deaf for a few seconds after the shot. Now I barely notice anything :3 |
Re: Boy survives hit by meteor Will you not see Moose's sarcasms?!? On topic... I may be a minority here, but I think this story is horseshit. If the thing is pebble sized, put a small crater in the earth and was travelling at 30,000 mph, I really think that hand of his would be ketchup on the road. If not his whole body. I could be wrong, not a huge deal at all but I really think that kind of kinetic energy would have wasted him, even if it was a glancing blow. At that speed, does anything really glance? |
