Philly - It's a tough town Man shoots movie-talker when he won't shut up: Man shoots talker at movies, police say - CNN.com Personally, I side with the shooter. But this reminds me, isn't stylie from, like, right near Philadelphia? Uh, has anybody heard from him in the last couple of days? Nah, it couldn't be him: if styles had been arrested, the headline would have read, "Buddy of Bun E. Carlos Arrested In Movie Shooting". ;) |
Re: Philly - It's a tough town Ha I live right near Philly to. I saw stylie running around with a batman suit on the other day. No but seriously, this stuff is always happening in Philly. |
Re: Philly - It's a tough town On a related topic, a german "turn-your-cellphone-off"-clip: YouTube - Alfons Hatler Neues vom Wixxer The character is Alfons Hatler, a Hitler parody from the comedy film "Der WiXxer". Translation: "Stop! Stop the Movie! What the hell is that about? This senseless ringing in your trousers... yes, I´m talking to you! Apparently you think there is nothing wrong with harassing other people with that appalling ringtone of yours. Why don't you do something constructive? Play with your german sheperd! Build a nice Autobahn! Or march into something/invade something... a bar, an opera... or a brothel! And now for everybody: Cellphones off! [advertising for movie] And if I here just one more ringing, we will ring back, in a way nobody rang ever in a german movie theatre!!! sorry have a good time assholes." |
Re: Philly - It's a tough town Thats.. Insane :uhm: Though I'm with the shooter. But I would have slapped the bastard. And I had such a great idea for a rick roll. But I don't know how to change the names of links :( |
Re: Philly - It's a tough town It is simply incredible to me that someone would shell out the unconscionable amount of money that theaters extort form the public and then talk instead of watch what they just paid minimum wage (I think it works out works out to around $5.75 an hour to watch) to see. It's indescribably rude and more than simply thoughtless - it's an aggressive, bullying act, which the talker thinks you're too cowed by not wanting to cause a scene to do anything about. Prove the punks wrong and get in their grills. Show them that just because someone is polite and would rather not cause a stink is not the same thing as being weak or afraid. "Movie Frrrreeeeeeeeedoooooooommm!!!" |
Re: Philly - It's a tough town These romans are crazy  Yeah jumjum, your thread is fail, like your guns-loving society |

Re: Philly - It's a tough town no no no he does not want them to be Stabbed he wants them to be "Romanced" into watching the movie quietly |
Re: Philly - It's a tough town Im safe! But yeah it can get nuts... I got a call from our 24 hour operation on Christmas night. I was to pull a recorded call to hand over to the police, he went on a 17 minute awesomely racist/sexist rant and then he started talking about heading on to the job site with his "CWB's" (Thats "Crazy White Boys") From Kensington (Where Adrian worked at the pet store in Rocky) and start "wrecking shop". Whatever it was an awesome rant, but only as a spectator. I'll try to find out what happened... and yes, I have a copy of the call... sooooo tempted to post a link... Philly is a bad place people... I know all of the good/bad spots. I hate to give it a bad name because there are alot of cool places here, lots of history, etc... but soooo many people who dont have a clue how to live/act. sigh. |
