For my Hosti-D'anglais side Christmas diner is alot like a thanksgiving dinner [Turkey, ham, Mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, mashed yams, mashed turnip, meatpie, gravy and stuffing] (Since We do live in quebec some of those are also french canadian classic meal parts). But the deserts change to more classic christmas ones like fudge, cookies, etc.
Italian side Is typical 3 course meal including pasta (or soup), appetizers, And main dish made up of meat (such as lamb or veal), or fish, and Some greens (Salad, cooked vegetables)

The recipe is often mistranslated into English, using anchovies instead of sprats. This is because sprats (Clupea Sprattus, Sprattus Sprattus), pickled in sugar, salt and spices, are known in Sweden as "ansjovis" from as far back as the 17th century, while true anchovies (Engraulis encrasicolus) are sold in Sweden as "sardeller".
