UPgrading..... jsut need opinions.
 

hey guys its been a while since ive been here a long whikle.. though i never really see that many FH2 servers on at all, im hopiong with eth upcoming release and the release of the Normandytheater that it will become as popular as it was on FH1..... though i am upgrading cause i need too big time cuaew i cant stand playign FH on High graphcis and lag my machine to death or play on low graphics and cant see a thing and cant enjoyut eh eye candy, so.... ive been looking into hard ware and ive loked at the spider platform...

i currently run a emanchine that i rebuilt with a Vision tek 3870 OC and its awsome and a P4 which i think is my main draw back. so far so this is my plan

Im going to go grab a second Vision tek 3870 OC so i can crossfire them on the MSI k9A2 Mother board

as i have a AMD 9600 Quad processor sitting in my room for quit a while so i need to get it in.. .. and at the time i didnt have the moeny so i got it for 100 bucks.. so i nkwo the C2Q is better but this is all i got on a budget

2- Vision tek 3870 OC'ed
with the AMD 9600 built on the MSI mobo would run bf2 near perfect? and im sorry i dont mean BF2 i mean MOds like Forgotten hope as they are ten times more intese with graphics etc.. casue im personally sick of spending money on computers and upgrading them though im addicted to computer games.. so please help out. =)

jsut asking if what i have and what i plan on buying will be up for the challenge of running these games.. ( and i play Red Orchestra and its mods so its also another reason for a updated cpu)

Wow. That Phenom's cheap. So basically you're just going crossfire your original card with another 3870, and replace your P4 with a Phenom 9600?

You're on a budget, so that seems fine by me.

about the keyboard lol, uh i just type fast and tend not to go back over my typing that often =).... yea i am on a budget but doi you think that it would run FH2 BF2 and RO on high graphics on a full server and not have lag from the machine ( not talking about internet lag) =) but yea i plan on xfiring my 3870's which honestly for 130 bucks the car is phenominal =) at least to my thoughts.. and it needs to run DOW2 when it comes out in the next year =)

I have no idea how the 3870s are going to hold up, but they should do okay, especially with such an old game as BF2 (even my Radeon 9600 should run it fine...), and your CPU should definitely be more than enough Apparently DoW2 (yay, another DoW fan!) will be relatively easy on the hardware, so it should run fine no problems.

sweet =)... i jsut wanna play BF2 the mods for BF2 and Red orchestra, and any other RTS games with the mods ( cause DOWE is nothign without Fire Storm Over Kronos mod and it lags alot...=() so i wanna fianlly run this with out lag =)../. the 3870's they lets say imo can run RO and BF@ on supper high graphics and any other game.. if my CPU wasnt lacking atleast that my perspecitive. here is this puppy thi is the one im Xfiring. but do yall feel confident in that this set up will run FH2 on max settings and run 80-60 fps? i mean curently i run on most ly high graphics via game not Gcard settings and 8X AA and get about 70-30 in large and small maps with little to no combat and when in light to meduium combat i get abou t 45-15 and heavy fighting its like 15-5

Dawn of War will be fine, it runs good on my system, and as I said, Crossfired 3870s are a big step up.

Don't know. I've never run FH2. But as I said before, it should be fine.

cool cool thx! =) DOW runs fine, i just play the mods such as FOK ( firestorm over kornos) which is ten time more demanding on my PC than vanilla DOW =)
