Brothers in Arms-Hell's Highway
Siberian Soldier

I'm finding it fun to play. I got the pc version a week ago. I really like the destroyable cover feature. I also like being able to "dig in". Meaning you can take cover behind something or at a corner of a building and just peak over or around and fire without exposing your whole body. It's also neat to be able to control your squad. On one mission there was a mg nest in a church steeple and I ordered the bazooka squad to take it out. One dead on shot and the steeple explodes, it was pretty kewl. It's fairly realistic with the exception of being able to carry and fire a mg42. Today I had to clear the way for some Sherman Fireflies which rightfully so, were operated by the Brits. I also really like being able to hear the Germans talking. You can hear the panic in their voices and that adds a lot to the realism. I guess that once I make it through all the levels on novice I'll then try at the higher difficulty levels, I'm thinking that once I do that the game will get tiring. I have not really checked out the on line play yet. Nothing beats FH but it gives me something to play in the evening when TDP and Pixel's servers are empty. I'm not sure that it's worth $50 but I'm enjoying playing it thus far.

Wow. They released a sequel? With more options, guns, statics like barns and even tanks? Hopefully they fixed some issues, that made the first game really boring. All you ever had were these 2 squads, while the environment was totally limited. I always ran into the map borders and the game became quite boring after some time. 'Go here while sending squad #2 that way'. Thereby the sights felt very inaccurate. Sights are bouncing all the time, which feels somewhat realistic, but it can be annoying if you don't hit for a longer time. Almost feels like every hit is random. So, the game is based on a good idea, but I have doubts about the fun factor even in the sequel. After having played the multiplayer in the first release, the game didn't really provide new content in the campaign.

Got this game last weekend but didn't have any time to play it so I borrowed it to my friend.

Finally going to play it this week, hoping they managed to display Eindhoven correctly; been driving a lot there this week and I want to see what parts I can recognize.

After playing it all night I can say only one word: AMAZING!

This game feels like such a big improvement on the last BIA's. Mainly because they finally fix'd the shooting and I for once don't actually have to stand next to my enemy to hit him or send another team to flank them.
The controls for the PS3 are a bit confusing at first (R1 to throw a grenade where R1 is usually shoot, whilst R2 serves for firing purposes) but after a short while of playing you will get the hang of it and everything goes very smoothly

The scenery of Eindhoven and the surrounding villages has been captured perfectly, heck I even recognized a road I was traveling on earlier this week.

Like I said, I play this game on the PS3 so I don't know how it compares to the PC or XBOX360 but the graphics and details look awesome and I laugh everytime I see Dutch Roadsigns that warn for bicycles or other stuff.
The detail of gore is also very amazing (like the German sniper that is fell out of a Church Tower), German soldiers feel like real enemies of flesh and blood rather then sandbag dummies as in Call of Duty. And ofcourse I couldn't resist to take a screenshot.
Spoiler:

This picture doesn't even do the in-game graphics justice because I had to take it with my camera infront of my tv due lack of in-game screenshots with the PS3

I can really recommend this game to anyone who loves WW2.

Show me, Dutch roadsigns, streetsigns, directionsigns etc. ftw! Rawr!

I want to check them against my "verkeersregelement" (trafficrules) book from 1938.
