Most of the lesser-known former soviet states are a weak area in a bunch of our geography. Heck, I only learned of Kazkhstan via CnC:Generals (campaign). Belarus and Ukraine were from Janes Fighters Anthology. And Georgia due to recent events.

Oh, I knew what they were and how they came to be, but I'd have problems putting them on a blank map before I learned of them.

Still, I like a good joke on any nation, unless it's too far below the belt. My comment earlier was to point out an ironic joke if it was there.

Oh, and I'd say our general public likes the funny pot shots on any high level politician, unless it's overly sexist or racist. Take JibJab.com for example.

Remember as well that this is the FH community. I remember someone having a saved quote in his sig that said to the effect of: "The sarcastic comment is what drives the FH community." So we need to have a scense of humor, here. =p

I meant to do this a while ago. I'm gonna see if Archie has nailed me:

"stupid" - check: at least my Mom thinks I am a lot of the time.
"redneck" - check: these are my people; blood of my blood, flesh of my flesh.
"shotguns" - mega check: At last count it was six, each with it's own role, from upland bird hunting to darkened hallway clearing. Don't currently have a pickup truck with a gun rack in the rear window....but I have in the past.

check: they serve a purpose you know, just like cowboy boots, which I also own. But then sometimes I am a cow-boy, baabee.

check: So don't you be sayin' nothin' bad about The King, y' hear?

Now, what was it I was saying about stereotypes having a basis in truth? Or was I talking about how sometimes we'll take things which are intended as insults and exaggerate them as a way of saying "kiss my ass"? I forget.

Heh. I thought it was hilarious. And yes, you had a point, but it's just at the time you went hot was a moment we were all playing well and goofing together. You have nothing to apologize for until you get over into jumjum territory of bleeding from the eyes while you act like the German kid who can't get his game to load fast enough. Then you'll need to dial it down a notch.

Haha. I personally only flipped like the Angry German kid once...and it was because I couldn't put together a Lego Iowa Class Battleship...and ended up throwing it against the wall.
