Why is it the French do so little, yet feel so superior? And I'm serious. I've spoken to a few Frenchmen and they always were so rude and felt they're superior in all ways.

Some of that may be because of language difference. A French accent may sound arrogant to Americans just like German may sound crude or rude.

I've been to France twice and I've also met several French exchange students in Finland, and I haven't so far met any of the "French assholes" that movies etc. try to portray them as. Maybe I've just gotten lucky?

I know waht you mean there. When I was in London some people said to me I'm rude (o.0). I was really confused becouse many people say I'm even too kind (if you get to know me). Later I realized what was the "big deal". I just didn't say "please" as often as English use. Well in Poland word please exist in a daily matter as well but it's not used in every sentence before dot.
