Kosovo is the small primarily-Muslim state in former Yugoslavia which was the scene of so much ethnic- and religious-cleansing by Slobodan Milosovec and his Serbian nationalists in the 90's. Then-President Bill Clinton sent US forces in harm's way to stop the killing, and today he is idolized by Kosovans - which explains "Hillary Bar". According to Totten American efforts on their behalf are greatly appreciated by Kosovans.

Laser mishap leaves Russian revellers partially blind: doctors

Russian medical officials said Monday that dozens of young revellers who recently attended an outdoor rave near Moscow have suffered vision loss from the event's laser light show.
"More than 30 people between the ages of 16 and 30 have ended up in hospitals in the capital with the same diagnosis, damaged retinas, since July 7," officials told Russia's Kommersant newspaper.
In some cases, the loss of eyesight is "up to 80 per cent and it's unlikely it can ever be restored," one doctor told the paper.
The rave took place July 5 as part of the Aquamarine Open Air Festival in Kirzhach, a town located about 80 kilometres northeast of Moscow.
According to attendees, organizers had erected large tents to shelter the dancers from heavy rain.
However, because of these tents, the light from lasers pointed skyward was instead partially bounced back down towards the revellers.
Cosmic Connection, the group that organized the festival, has not commented

Jees, I saw the headline but hadn't read the story. Wow. This is what I was afraid would happen to me if I went to the Pink Floyd shows 30 years ago when they were just really starting laser light shows. AFAIK the US laser shows were safe. So what's the difference?

But Serbia's economy was sent back to the early 80's with these airstrikes, and the nation's craddle had been lost (Kossovo Polje, a medieval battle lost again the ottoman empire), and Serbia would not like anymore USA nor their most ancient ally, France.

Anyway, I agree that Milosevic and his national-communist mass-murderers had to be stopped (since 1991, not 1998!!), but maybe there should be wiser means than heavy bombing a country to serve the tasks of albanian nationalism and mafia.

Harsh! I only know the blogger said Kosovo was "the best bargain in Europe". I'm not sure what he was basing that opinion on, though.
