Yes, Obama's campaign has now corrected the statement to his great uncle (he doesn't have an American uncle) and that it was Ohrdruf camp which was liberated.

That doesn't excuse Obama's ignorance of history and geography. Doesn't take a Phd scholar to know that Auschwitz was in Poland and that the USSR overran all of Poland on their way to Germany.

Huh? Watch out, looks like he skipped the tapas completely and kept slamming the sangria. And he's apparently a mean drunk....

i get stupid by reading threads like these, but i simply want to point out only thing that matters for being a good president is what he will do, shame the only news i read is bashing instead of trying to make policies clear.

Anyhow at least he could claim his great uncle actually came under sniper fire

But you see, while it may be a simple gaffe, it also reviels something about his character, which influances what he will do. The big problem I have with this is that Obama didn't bother to take the time to call up his mom or any other family members to double check. Hell, he could of just turned to an aide and gone "Hey, we liberated Auschwitz, right? Look it up on Wikipedia real quick."

true , but if i have to post everytime McCain and bush say something wrong , or more importantly flatout lie, this forum would crash, ok im exagarating.

No one who favors Obama for his policies and personality is going to change their mind cause of this, its only good enough to feed the ones who dont like him.

No seriously, my brain is going to asplode, Junior is famous because any foreign place at east of Potomac River has 95% options to be mislabelled by him and we are here in a flamefest ordeal because the evil Obama mislabeled two 40's lagers...no offence but you are a walking comedy

*hicks, rica sangria!

Too bad that no one with his great uncle's name from Kansas served in the US Army during WWII, although someone with his name from Kansas served in the Navy in the Pacific. Must have been one hell of a sailor to liberate a German work camp from half way around the world.

Riehl World View: A New Problem For Obama?

But hey, just keep telling yourself that none of this matters. He was just tired and made a gaffe (and another and another and another). None of this was deliberate and it doesn't speak at all to his character.

Just keep drinking the Obama-mania kool aid.

You can talk about Obama's gaffe, sure. But then we look at Bush, he makes one every hour. I don't see you obama haters mentioning Bush's fuck ups which far outweigh Obamas and his cocksucking ass got 2 terms!
