Re: What if Hitler got captured ? lol. I'm not joking, though. What really is the point of punishing someone for something they think is right? They'll just do it again, given the chance. |
Re: What if Hitler got captured ? We can all come up with some excuse rationalizing everything we do. Under your standard nothing would ever be forbidden or punished regardless of how cruel, brutal or violent. Even if someone decided a certain 17-year-old lad in New Zealand had to be put out of his misery because he was quite clearly insane. ;) |

Re: What if Hitler got captured ? Christ, first time I agree with JumJum, it looks old rightwingers and old anarKists share the same values about life, crimes and punishment, I would eat the lung of Mengele and bragg about it, no sin feeling |
Re: What if Hitler got captured ? I feel conspired against. |

So yes, he deserves punishment. If you are doing this as scientist with dead bodies, just like Da Vinci, no problem but living people? Mengele was a monster, no mercy. |
Re: What if Hitler got captured ? I do understand what Arch is talking about though. Now a days we conduct experiments on dogs rats and monkeys. For those doing the experiments it seems perfectly normal since it may aid in saving millions of people further down the road. For most people experimenting on animals seems cruel but we let it go for the same reason. Now Imagine you have been led to believe that your kind is better than any one else in the world, so to you Jews and POW's amount to nothing more than dogs how can you find what you are doing wrong when one day it may save millions of your "kinds" lives. The problem with laws and trying someone for breaking laws is: how can you try someone for breaking your laws in his country when his government didn't have an issue with what he was doing. Its like me getting a ticket in the mail from england for driving on the right side of the road in Canada. Laws vary from country to country and religion to religion, I sure as hell don't follow Islamic law, but what happens if they invade our country and decide that before they got here I was breaking all sorts of their laws? The problem with laws, morals and rules in general is that someone somewhere at some time invented them because he thought that he was better than everyone else and that his Ideas should be followed. Now someone in another place thinks the same thing and decided that he will invent a bunch of his own things. Some of one guys ideas are bound to go against the other guys, Then what? How do you try someone for breaking a law of yours that he broke before you invaded his country, and that wern't in place before you got there? |
Re: What if Hitler got captured ? Oh God, there is some confused thinking here, but I just can't fix it. I'm merely one small man. I feel even less than that: a single, tiny Who of order and logic who has cried out in hopes of being heard by that mass of grossly confused and misled Hortons. However, the lovely order and elegant rationality of the ever-shrinking Whoville of logic will not be saved - it will be boiled in the burning oil of mass ignorance and the morality of relativity run amuck. Because it is overwhelming to even think of trying to stem this tide of muddled thought and mushy ideation. So the miasma of mental chaos goes unchallenged and unchecked. We are doomed. |
