..."If you ain't got guns, you ain't changing anything." Violence is brutal and horrible but nessicary.....
I'm most reminded of this when I see the old, "War changes nothing!" slogans. Well, uh, wrong. You can say war is brutal and horrible and unfair, and you can argue about whether particular wars are unavoidable or unnecessary. But war changes everything. War is how tyrants rise or fall, monarchies end, religions are born or die, and how boundaries change. War, for good or ill, is the agent of change, not of the status quo.
It is indeed glorious. Not as much of a statement as the first two, quite a bit more realistic than number two and three, but still the ridiculous carnage it is supposed to be. The plot is even almost believable, which is good.
I think I never had so much "omg, wtf!" moments watching a movie..
and it´s actually not overdosed like other action flicks like Die Hard 4 or Rambo 3 were the hero fights against helicopters and jets, but instead it has a lot of real nasty (but believeable) infantry combat scenes..
...
Conan, what is best in Life?
To crush your enemys, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentation of their women !
That is good !
Indeed, I was a bit surprised he did not get to blast an helicopter. At least that flame throwing gunboat showed up. The tall boy+claymore semi-nukular explosion was impressive too. I swear I burst laughing after a while, that mushroom just wouldn't stop growing

Did the British even use the tall boy in that part of the world? I know they used it to destroy the Tirpitz in Norway . (Wasn't that what it was invented for anyways? by same person who made the dam buster bombs).
Private Joker: How can you shoot women or children? Door Gunner: Easy! Ya just don't lead 'em so much! Ain't war hell?
The movie KICKED ASS (and I'm in the FH section OMFG!!11)
Ahem... The ONE complaint I had is the "kick" that the sniper had when he shot those guys. There isn't a hand held gun on the planet that will throw a guy like that, and if there was it would blow the shooters shoulder right off when it flew backwards from the force of the shot.
Other than that, it thoroughly quenched my thirst for blood and carnage.
