Mini map is gone from everything but vehicles.
I actually liked the .61 version, but I don't think I'm going to try .7 I just don't like the changes they've made.

This release has gone way too hardcore on the realism in my opinion. May uninstall soon, and I've been a stickler for that mod since it started. All the dumb rules they have on how the game should be played is to me pretty ridiculous.
And the removal of the ability to spawn on the squad leader was retarded, btw

Now you see why some feedback can screw a mod. Some persons complain about the spawn on SL because they say: "It's boring to be SL", and tadam, removed and teamplay walks the plank.
Spawn on SL is the best tool for teamplay in BF2, period, yeah, sometimes the SL must hide, but not always, ok, he must not lead a charge but c'mon, he can and must also take calculated risks, and then is a hell of fun, this rally points thing doesn't bring this kind of teamplay, never will do.
And let's not talk about the removed minimap, it's imposible to play tactically and teamplay based if you don't know where are your mates, where is the line, etc. To steal info to the players is not realism.

Now the scuad leader wa replaced whit the Rally point, as you say lobo, be a SL in PR its not boring, becuase you place a Rally, and go whit your comrades, then all die, regroup on SL / Rally and its all OK.. the rally cannot be deployed to close to the flags (maybe +500 meters) so you have to walk more than 500 and beign shot in 30 meters, so eliminated the spawning on SL = not a good idea
But JDAMS are cool, big explosion, long time before they impact (thats ok.. nothing bad)
And much lag too, why a 17 KM map? only for 64 players?,i known, combined arms tanks supporting infatery, helos supporting both and aircraft supporting them all, but you lost a plane, you have to wait 10 minutes for support, if the pilot its a noob? i really dont like huge maps.. very detailed and cool stuff, but not funny. The most part of the maps is not used, only snpiers and campers go there, but the work of PR devs is really nioce, they discovered much stuff, like the distant sounds of the weapons, thats amazing, but the maps, recoil (oh man, you can fire whit the G3, its almost imposible in CQB!) the size of maps, its just bad

The thing that turned me off the most about PR is that you feel like you're being punished for playing.
Long spawn times, loooong walking distances, takes a while to get into the fight, and when you get there, you're either killed by your own team or...killed by your own team. Mind you this is from personal experience, but they went a little too deep with (and it hurts me to say this...) realism and killed all the fun, least-annoying parts of BF2.
And plus if some idiot gets a hold of a vital piece of strategic equipment your whole side is pretty much fucked.
