It could be sorta market research

In this case I'm afraid ye-olde-veterans-like-us 'opinion wouldn't count so much...

I'm not really expecting that much out of this BF3, the destructible environments are great, but that doesn't really move me to consider purchasing this unless it somehow becomes a killer-must have game (which I don't think it will be...)

Crysis said the DX9 version doesnt support some of the stuff the DX10 version does like destructable enviroments.
Oh man, that really stinks . I was really looking forward to that stuff in DX9, particularly the destructible environments. I absolutely refuse to move to Vista unless s SP1 is some sort of magic M$ can wield to fix its OS...

Vista vs. Crysis Gah.

Still, I'm not going to seriously consider this until we get some sort of concrete for it.
Dice will fuck it up somehow....

Aren't you a bit overreacting? They still play FH a lot, it has more players than some of the most popular BF2 mods. There's no way FH2 would die after BF3.

What is it, that you're seeing so hostile in Vista? It works GREAT. And all the problems I know will be fixed in SP1, like crashing on 32-bit applications without a workaround. That's pretty much the only problem I ever had.
