The expansion is called Opposing Fronts, and there are two campaigns- One for each side. The British battle for Caen and the German Panzer elite in Holland. So those are the two new armies, Britain and Panzer Elite. (The current German army in the game is more along the lines of the Wemacht while Panzer Elite is more like SS. I look forward to lanning with the new armies cause my friend will love Britain, because they are defensive/mobility focused. The Panzer Elite is about vehicles, they get units like Jagdpanther.
The developers also said they would like to make an all-encompasing WW2 game, so you will soon see most theaters converted to their game. I am looking forward to the Expansion for the new armies and lanning, and at the opportunity of playing the Germans in campaign. (lol I got a bit carried away about explaining the xpack)
Mohaa, RTCW, CoD2 and FH --- > best games ever
Meh, I lost interest in BiA long time ago, especially after realy bad sequel. So yeah, it's rather very dull. It's just that it had realy nice different feel to the way its dev tried appraoching realism.
I agree with other games you listed, but certainly not CoD2, comon, even the first game was better than that!
I'd say something about your credibility, but other than being a mod leader at your own will, I can't quite find anything I could pick on.=D

You see all the science and technology that the society had striven for turned against them, destroying their humanity. Its influences are a lot more philosophical than most other FPS, drawing heavily from dystopian and fascist thought, with a fair helping of twists and turns to mutate into something hideous. It's really not as far out there as say, Half Life 2, where the world is invaded by aliens or something and then some zombies show up and a white Erkel has to save the world. Story has become an integral part of games these days, especially FPSes. And as more games get made, and more people grow up with games, the natural progression is for the medium to become more complex, in its programming, mechanics, and other aspects, including story.
I like the way the story is told. You as a player really have no idea what is going on, much like your character on screen. Literally, you were dropped from the sky into this underwater utopia, and now you're fighting monsters. Through audio diaries and your unshrugging friend Atlas (the symbolism of this name is punching you in the face), you are filled in on what has happened and what you need to be doing.
I quite agree, Rapture is very different and has that sort of feeling, of attempt at better society frozen in hour of its collapse. Removing the question of how belivable it is comes quite easy as the narrative is not telling you what you should belive, you're just walking around and observing everything yourself.
However I have similar feelings to BadSeed when it comes to RPGs, neverthless I loved Black Isle for its style and games they made and how high this particular game was rated, I found myself unable to get into the world presented in Planscape - Torment.
Oh, and Yoss, you know Half-Life is more than that.

What blew Bioshock for me was the crash in the ocean, and that entrance just happening to be right there, but out in the middle of no where.. And you just happen to crash next to it. And why is it there advertising anyway. Its suppose to be a secret underwater city. That entrance would be spotted on radar..You can pick up row boats with radar. And then, it just so happens to have a sphere to take you down! Like its been sitting there waiting for a plane crash and one survivor....Sorry its just too much of a leap. I cant help it, stuff that doesnt make sense like that, drives me nuts.
Half life as fantastic a story as it was, had a plausable logical aspect to it. Bioshock doesnt, and thats why i dont like it.
edit: Im kinda finding Moha:AB alittle COD2 like in the AI department. Now that ive played it a few times. Which is making it less appealing. The friendlies do nearly nothing, except running around in your way. So like COD2 you have to do it all, mostly. They kill maybe 10% of the enemy if your lucky. And the enemy seems to mostly shoot at you, and ignores all your useless teammates aswell. Just like COD2 was... So im not so sure about this one either. COD2 got old really fast for me.
I don't know, I somehow managed to not look for any logic in Bioshock at all, and the beginning appeared somewhat magicall and very misterious for me, like some greater power would have control over these events. It felt like the Rapture wanted me to go down there and see it.
I am Very mad and confused with the Call Of Duty Series. Great games and im sure COD4 will be amazing, but i dont think they ever did the pacific campaign. WTF!!! why skip right to Modern Warfare when almost all of the other games these days do that.
Moh:aa was great, it's CKR realism mod made me look for a realism mod for Battlefield 1942 .
Moh:a on the other hand, judging by playing the demo for some minutes before getting bored, has a bit too much "features" in it; too much effects, flashes and whatnot when you run or get hit. Maybe it's just me not having played these recent callofduties and brothersinarms'
About the AI, I can only agree with RBS; I realized only after installing that the demo is SP...
