| This guy is a good example why so many people have completely lost faith in and patience with "mainstream media". He is is the poster boy for all that is wrong with the "legacy media". Why the hell would I want him to decide what was reported on and what I heard about it? He's also a good example of a "nanny state-er" who at heart believes the average person (like you or me) is too stupid to do things like think for himself, and he wants to do it for us - because he and his circle are so much better qualified to do it than we. Because they are the "right" kind of people, who went to the "right" schools, have the "right" politics and cultural beliefs, adhere to the "right" religious faith (which is almost always more like "lack of faith", because they're too intelligent and sophisticated to do something as embarrassing and backward as actually believing in fairy tales, don't you know), and generally think the "right" thoughts. Bottom line, the internet is the greatest tool for intellectual freedom and true egalitarian education since the invention of the printing press. Sure there's crap on the net, but you can almost always find an incredibly well-founded expert on virtually any subject. Not surprisingly, all too often the findings and opinions of those solid gold experts that you can get to on the web differ markedly in their findings from those of the "experts" foisted on us by the censors, uh, gatekeepers, uh, filterers, uh, news media. *Whoo* I'm tired now.

| Lol funny guy. sure we are all aware that there are people on the internet who spread false reports and rumors, leave out certain information etc. but the same happens by the mainstream media. Though it depends per country and per media type. Over here I would say the goverment funded news is more neutral and less after hyped "news" then the public (commercial) news which tent to go for popular news (more viewers, more ad incomes). But the internet ftw, freedom of expression and knowledge rules. You are free to believe who ever you want to and don't let anybody present information to in "easy to consume prepared chunks". |

| "The truth is out there." It's just that you have to wade through a ton of manure to find the flower...and have the wisdom to distinguish the two.
