Mythbusters showed something that the oil from fryers like McDonalds and other fast food joints has only slightly worse mileage than gas/diesel (forgot what the particular car they used ran on). All they had to do was filter the oil, no elaborate machines or chemicals anything.

Oh, and Remember:
Global Warming -> Ice caps melt -> Oceans rise -> World floods -> Japan dissapears.

/start rant

ok where to begin....

PART ONE: THE POLITCAL GAME

1. ok first off global warming (thought of by Al Gore) is literally just a political poker chip. heres why, the whole reason Global warming is so popular is because al is in the same bed as the media, and to score points in goverment he has the 'drive-by media' constantly talk about warm weather...hmmm lets see...OH YEA IT SUMMER ITS GONNA BE HOT U DUM F***** A**, and then later al says global warming also causes sparatic weather....hmmm lers see.....OH YEA ITS FALL(almost)/WINTER THERE ALWAYS WEIRD WEATHER.

PART TWO: THE EVIDENCE PROVES THE EARTH IS NOT WARMING (too much)

1. the global warming THE ONLY EVIDENCE is the media and 'paid-to-say-so-'scientists', while on the other hand evidence that it doesn't exists is from CREDIBLE scientists and ice samples (or whatever they do with that stuff in antartica) that it appears its been WAY! warmer in the past.

PART THREE: THE LIES...

1. I don't know about some of you but in the 70's they were talkin about the next 'ICE AGE' and that in 20 years or so (1990's) we would all be FROZEN (thats UB3R). Look what happened were all STILL here, and know there saying the were all gonna melt/flood in 10-100 years (I say BULLSHITAKI). So the question is....the were wrong once and had SOME 'evidence' now they're saying it again with NO evidence (will you believe?)
(if you do i will shoot you in 30 days guarenteed )

PART FOUR: YA....WHATEVER

1. they say the temp. will get like 1 degree in 10 years or so ...ya uh-huh
how can they say that when they can't even tell you 100% TOMORROW's temp. .....

goes to rip hair out

/end rant

Please explain the growing ice....
Trees are one thing, but forests are another. We need forests to slow down runoff and cool the air. Deep dark forests can be 10-15 degrees cooler in the summertime. Im talking air temps not just 'being in the shade'.

But has any adjustment been made in those records to reflect that "nationwide" temp recordings in 1900 almost certainly didn't include the hottest areas of the county - Arizona, Utah, Nevada and New Mexico? Or that records for those territories would have been very limited? And who knows about calibration and accuracy, time of day, location, etc.

The point is that if those blast furnaces are left out or minimized in the mix, the early-record temp averages will appear lower than they were. Meaning that it could incorrectly appear "we" (meaning modern America) have an unprecedented heat rise. Maybe, maybe not.

Hell, a veterinarian is a "scientist", and his ideas about climate have the same scientific validity as mine - zilch.

Finally, past similar "scientific" public policy campaigns have been waged, and by some of the same kind of folks pushing panic now. There was fluoride and Alar ( I think Meryl Streep cried for a Congressional hearing audience), but the biggest was DDT. Untold millions of persons (in Africa and Asia, so they're out of sight of the activists) have died becasue DDT was pushed off the market in less about five years after Rachel Carson played coy with facts in The Silent Spring.

Dang it's hot.
Very excellent points. To the last one... Malaria doesnt do too well with DDT around. The birds? well, gotta think about that one.

Jum you made mention of hemp. I do wish we could use it to its potential. Id love to see hemp replace wood for paper as well as a building material. Yes you can make houses with it. Honestly. We cut down trees and then wipe our asses with them!!! Makes no sense to me!!!

i think global warming is a big problem and we should all worried about it. My believes is that we have already change our weather patterns and even if no human drives a car for another 5 years we are still going to be affected. So don't be surprise to see snwoing in african deserts or floadings in england and asia getting huge amounts of water. Also when they Poles melt which there are on there way to mealting all that water will cause the earth to shift so maybe in summer the north pole is far aways from the sun.....................Causing seasonal changes. i know my english is bad =) but this is a bigger issue

I believe my skin, eyes and nose...

My eyes tell me, that since I have been here in Finland(8 years), I have seen less and less snow in the winter. I can also see that my room gets a lot more sunshine in the Summers.

My nose tells me it hasn't frozen over quarter as much in the winter, as it used to do when I came here.

My skin tells me that I am baking in the Summers...more and more every year. Especially in my room.

You can say that Global Warming is a myth, but you have to be a moron not to notice the sudden changes over the past few years. Also, the increase of pollution is evident....look at the houses in a large city, Budapest, and look at how soon freashly painted walls turn black...that is not normal.

I am not surprised about the English government controlling the use of cooking oil as fuel...the petrol business is worth billions, and some people don't want to lose their money
