The family of Claus Schenk von Stauffenberg, the guy who placed the bomb at Wolfsschanze in 1944 in a failed plot to assassinate Hitler, doesn't want Tom Cruise to portray him in a movie.

Hmm I can't see the big deal with his religion and all. Afterall he is an actor and needs to play a roll. But he isn't exactly a look a like (though there are ofcourse people who look even less like Stauffenberg) so tha would be one of my reasons to look for an alternative...

Jude Law would be perfect for this role imo, he's a great actor and has a better style compare to tom cruise (especially because i expect to see a film with a reflexion about the character and so a deeper role contrary to light role of action film)

They have to make Tom a lot uglier,stauffenberg lost his eye plus 1,5 of his hands.I am sure they will come up with something to make him taller, if real stauffenberg is taller than tom.

well, if its an american film, they wont make him look ugly. they will probably make him some sort of traumatized, brooding character with a heart of gold.
