an1 else think SF was a waste of money?

after all the talk about the great close quarters action and fun maps, i broke down and bought SF (but with a 5$ off coupon so meh). i installed, loaded it up, and hello it sucks. for one, the graphics look 10x worse than regular bf2 with the same settings. the maps are boring as well. Surge? looks and plays like crap. and only like 50 servers, 40 of which have pings so high its unplayable. all the maps stink, the weapons arnt worth it, and im just left regretting the purchase.

It's your opinion and it's perfectly normal you might not like the game and regreat it. I respect it.
What Stauffie gaved link to is rather thread with complaints about the comecrial small addons wich are too expensive in some's opinion, but still noone wouldn't mind having them for free...

Special Forces is cool. The problem is that since most people have sorry computers the majority of servers do not run the night maps. The night maps are fun. Especially Leviathan. I bet you may have not even played this map. I also like the grappling hooks and the crossbow. You can use it to shoot a line to traverse across the map. Also flash bang grenades and tear gas add another great element to the game. I really hope FH2 will have similar features like this and not be like FH where they had no bayonet and such.

In my opinion grappling hooks are the most fun part of this expansion. Realy original for an fps game, now I would just need more interesting statics to climb on...

Sorry, have to disagree - I think that SF is far superior to the original. I've never had a performance issue with it - in fact it generally runs better than vanilla for me.

I feel that the maps are much better and I have had some of the most intense infantry fights ever on maps like Warlord and Surge. I think the night maps were well executed and like the guy above wish more servers ran them.

Just the whole aspect that the zips and grapples add to the game make it worth it in my opinion - you never know where you're going to get shot from.

I love SF. The best $15 I spent. Okay, so I overstated a bit there. Grappling hooks, ziplines, more G36s...and horrible lag on Warlord.
