5 is a USAAF P-40 trying to take off from Wheeler field during the Pearl Harbor attack. It's not George Welch taking off from Haleiwa, as they were not attacked at that airfield.

Gauntlet, I would really appreciate it if you could provide sources for the pics when you give the answers--not for copyright reasons (although I'm sure that'd be nice for the owners) but mainly because I'd like to see if I can find some more nice stuff on some of these pages.

For example, I'd love a full-screen background of the P-40 painting in #5.
