What are the best Upgrades to buy for my computer? | Pentium 4 CPU 2.60GHz processor
Dude, get an AMD. Preferably a 64 (socket 939), which is what I'm running in my new setup. AMD wipes the floor with P4's. My AMD 64 runs at 2.0ghz but has an Intel rating of 3.2ghz. Thus AMD64 3200. Kind of a slap in the face to Intel. But anyway yea go AMD. They use less power, run cooler, are more dependable and are down right the best for gaming.
My current setup runs AMD 64, Geforce 6800 GT PCI-E DDR3, 2 gig's of Dual DDR ram. SATA 10k rpm HD's and a storage HD. Audigy 2 soundcard. It is SLI capable but with that much power already it's pretty much pointless. |
