How come there are no artillery simulation games?

In all my time as a gamer, I've seen countless simulation games. Flight Simulator, Combat Flight Simulator, and many other tank simulations. BUT, there are no artillery simulations that I know of. Why is this? Or is there one that no one knows about? And don't mention those cheap imitations of the concept of artillery like Worms, those DEFINITELY dont count. The main reason I even thought of this is that I just rented and watched Memories, a series of miniature animes from some of the best anime creators, including "cannonfodder", depicting a day in the life of a city thats sole purpose is firing cannons at an unknown enemy. Made me remember how cool artillery can be.

I think people would get bored fairly fast of a game like that, just fireing round after round in the horizone.

Because it sounds dreadfully boring and would make no money perhaps.

A total simulation would be like.. shooting clouds.

Artillery is not simply firing blind. A set of coordinates are radioed to the artillery battery, which uses them to calculate shots. And besides, I'm sure stuff like shell cameras and free camera, and many up close artillery fights and the ability to customize your gun to an incredible degree would completely negate any boredom. Some would say that calculating torpedo data is extremely boring. If that was true, why would people play Silent Hunter III?

Sounds like a fun math game to me.
