Do you know what converter the "snap ring" is all about and why it's considered cheating? When I was researching snap shooting it came up a few times but no real description as to what it is. |
Re: Paintball thread! I'm not sure what a snap ring is. Or what you mean by converter. But I probably know it by a differant name. Explain what you mean by converter. |
Re: Paintball thread! Here check out this article http://www.warpig.com/paintball/tech...ew/index.shtml My mistake it has nothing to do with the snap ring and ram. This article explained it better. They change the rate of fire on the circuit boards to counter good snap shooters apparently. |
Re: Paintball thread! Nice. Cheating is an integral part of paintball. All good players cheat. There's all sorts of cheating. From ramping boards to bunker pre shooting, it's all pimp. Ramping Boards- Boards that put hidden bounce (extra balls being fired) inside your rips. This effectively increases the BPS that you can pull. The more shots fired the more hidden bounce. Belly slide/Knee slide- Got shot in the stomach? Got shot in the knee? Oh well simply slide on your belly or on your knee and whipe that paint off. Bunker Preshooting- Shoot your bunker as you run up to it and if you're hit in the hopper just shipe it up against the paint that you shot on the bunker as you pretend to play the other angle. When the ref comes over tell him it came off the bunker. Distraction- Call a ref over for a paint check (Checking if you got hit) after you're hit and not seen by the ref. Tell him to check a part of you that hasn't been hit and this way he'll lose suspicion. A good back player knows the differance from being hit, and being called out. |

It sounde like you are a real serious player comrade0red, i just play for fun with friends on land they own, we dont have any pre-determined stratagies or tatics (beisded you guys go this way and we will go that way sort of stuff), we will yell stuff out while we play and give hand signals but most of the time we just fight it out. I know i would be a better player if i thought about all that stuff you said about lanes and angles and all that but i just go by instinct and like you said you have to be as brave as you can, that will help you in more ways than you would think. THe brave player will almost always control the shooting lane. I played speed ball on those inflatable courses a few times and i just did not have as much fun as when i play in the woods. I like to hunt for my victims a little first and i like how you can use almost anything for cover in the forest. |
Re: Paintball thread! I'm serious. Try bunny hopping you'll whallop the shit out of your opponents. |
Re: Paintball thread! You say it works eh? I dont see how it would help besides making your opponets say 'what the hell is he thinking?' most of the time i am shot in the body or arms, i dont see how jumping will help. What the hell it is worth a shot i guess, althought i think i will find just flat out sprinting to work better, it will make for a good laugh at least. :) |
Re: Paintball thread! I'm not talking about bunny hopping from point A to point B, but try it if you're caught out in the open with someone in a firefight. If they're not going in their bunker, spray at them and jump, it usually scares them into hiding back into their bunker, then you run for your own bunker. (In paintball a bunker is any type of cover) |
Re: Paintball thread! On Saturday, I was trying out my brothers friend's paintball pistol (an Aryicon Overlord), and I bunkered two people with it. |
Re: Paintball thread! They must have been really bad players. It's pretty hard to bunker someone with a paintball pistol. Are you sure you know what bunkering is. It's pretty well choking them. |
