I read about that reproduction in Aeroplane or Flightpast, and I think I remember reading that its not the orginal engines, and that they are restoring the single seater to flyable condition.

As for your skinning help, do you have any prefered pilots' plane?

Heres what my collection of Me 262 profiles holds:

I believe those are the Me-262's built at the Smithsonian facility on Silver Hills Maryland.

There were no flyable Me-262's but a complete set of blueprints was found so a small group of Me-262's were built from the original plans with the assistance of MBB in Germany. The first Me-262 was given to MBB and the next 2 I think were intended for US air museums.

IIRC they use a non afterburning version of the GE J85 turbojet engine making about 2400lbs of thrust each.

Re: does enyone knows a good skin for the ms 262?

the Me 262B-1a is flying, but its not an orginal structure. its been remade after orginal drawings.

As for your model...you gonna paint Nowotnys "White 8", right?

EDIT: http://forums.filefront.com/images/smilies/eekx.gif 1800 posts...its been a long time since I first joined...
