How do you remove the fog? I want to take some really nice screenshots of BF1942 and BFV. However, the fog makes it so that the view is limited. I know there is a way of adjusting it, but I don't know how. Can someone tell me how to remove the fog entirely? Note - I know that without the fog, the framerate will plummet. However, I don't plan on playing any games. I just want to take a screenshot of each map. Any help would be very welcome. :) |
Re: How do you remove the fog? In <map name> rfa theres a setting for view distance, that would be your fog, if your running a real top end PC it will drop your fps some but not lag. CrimeScene |
Re: How do you remove the fog? why is that running a top end computer that will happen? |
Re: How do you remove the fog? Because if the computer isn't good enough, having no fog will make the game completly laggy. |
Re: How do you remove the fog? Or on some modded servers to much planes flying around might do it to,I know in DC mod it will, seems only to much aircraft does it for some reason. CrimeScene |

Re: How do you remove the fog? Bump - so where is this view distance thing? I'm looking in the map RFA, but I just can't find it. |
Re: How do you remove the fog? Bump again - please, anyone? |

Re: How do you remove the fog? look in the init.con for both viewdistance and fog settings.. there is a viewdistance setting, and a fog setting. they are seperate from eachother. set viewdistance to 100m and at 100m you will see a wall of fog. if you want it foggy between you and that wall of fog, set the fog setting to 0-100m p.s. you may need to add the "command line" for the fog setting to your init.con. look in a map that has fog for the appropriate line, copy and paste it into your map,and set them to whatever distance you want. |
