Damn, my sides are hurting, guys any more 'l33t rig' posting like that and I'm going to have a heart attack! My computer is nicely set up, I have a really neat table and everything. All the wires are hidden and I've got all the sound systems set up, but my MESH box isnt exactly soft on the eye if you know what I mean. |
Re: Post Pics of your Computer! I just kind of felt compelled to make it awesome when I had to replace the case. Total cost of case, fans, wires, PSU, and bindings: ~300$ Total value of not losing all the skin on your hands whenever you need to work on your computer: Not priceless, but its nice. The case is HUGE, and it has an awesome feature. The Motherboard is attached to a metal "tray" that attaches to the motherboard and slide/n/snaps right in. You use those akward mounting hoists and screws with a light aluminum tray and can make sure your mobo is secured, then slide it in the case with little trouble. The fat glowy IDE cables were about .75$ a piece (a deal) which is comprable to replacement IDEs you can buy from Best Buy for 20$. Round = better airflow as well. The glowy fans (which actually emit neon light) were about 8$ a piece, + shipping. I got them from a Canadian case-mod company online. http://www.ultraproducts.com/product...roducts_id=162 The PSU is an Ultra 500watt (the name of the company is Ultra - http://www.ultraproducts.com/) which was about 129$, but worth it IMO since it has a regulated 500w input unlike my old 250w Dell POS. Much better for overclocking and fidgeting with things. The Case is a Raidmax Scorpio 850 (I think) full tower. The side was already modded to have a window, but that was the only existing mod. I put the fan on the side with a dremmel (and they started shipping their 850s with the fans there like a week after I did it.. sigh). The biggest problem was hiding the fan power cords, and I didn't even do a very good job of it. |
