WW2OL questions Im looking into getting into this game. If anyone who plays it could fill me in on some stuff, I'd appreciate it. First, what's the monthly cost? Secondly, how is the lag/netcode? Any other thoughts or opinions would be great too. Thanks. |
Re: WW2OL questions I saw on the website its 12.99 USD monthly and it gets upgraded pretty regularly and isnt to buggy anymore. I am also looking into it but I'm not sure how to pay. Ohioan its not like BF and its all about the Blitzkrieg so theres no Tigers, just early war tanks. It could take twenty minutes for you to get to the battle and get killed by a plane as soon as you get there. I still think it would be pretty fun. If you get it, tell me if you like it. http://www5.playnet.com/bv/wwiiol/index.jsp thats the website. I suggest you look around on there and check it out. |
Re: WW2OL questions They are adding the Tiger this year but I think that is when Africa comes in. The game uses an "invention cycle" so certain battle implements don't get available until the cycles start(unless your factories are dead). It costs 20 dollars for a key, first month is free, 13 dollars per month but I got some money from my job so I am all set. PS. Ohioan, when you put the referrer, put me, ashmole. It gives me free-play time. www.31stwreckingcrew.com This is my squad and it has a great rep; awesome teamwork. Every squad on axis compliments us. |
Re: WW2OL questions I recently got a 2 week free trial with the "Welcome Back Soldier" thing, it was fun, however if you want to live more than 5 mins, dont play like fh. The graphics are ok, but hell people still play CS so it isnt that bad. I usually got 20-35 fps on the ground as infantry, in the air while I was gunning we hit a "Super Cell" or whatever the hell my pilot said it was, 2 fps. If your going into this thinking your gonna be a rambo, running across open fields, spraying people..yeah your gonna hear a lot of the "HMMPFF" death sound. The community is the best part, most mature community ive seen. With all the updates they put into it I might subscribe, but I dont agree with the concept of pay for play so then again. |
Re: WW2OL questions I've always heard great things about this game, but the whole monthly fee thing turned me off. I hate having to pay to play a game, in my house, on my machine. That's just not right. |
Re: WW2OL questions Thats what concerns me, the fee. If I stop playing and forget to cancel or some crap like that I'll have tons of charges on my card that I didn't spend. I know the graphics suck, I saw some screenshots. How is the gameplay? Is it more action-oriented or strategy oriented? |

Just think about it this way, what's 13 euro's/15 bucks a month, for the number of hours you spend on it. It's as much as two cinema tickets, a couple of beers or a pizza. |
Re: WW2OL questions I think I'll have a couple of beers. |

I don't say that i'm into these games I refuse to pay a montly fee for a game too, but I understand why you have to pay this amount every month. |
Re: WW2OL questions Yeah I understand. I didn't know there was so much involved in maintaining a MMOG. |
