Some people in the Bf1942 files official server were very enthusiastic about making a movie in FH, so if you want to help out make a post in here

Well some people in the BF1942 files server said they were looking to make some sort of ww2 movie so I have no idea what its going to be about or anything. Also ATI 4 lifes name just popped into my head and it was he who asked me to help him make one

Tell us, any progress with this project? A short (not too short) movie would be fun! Whats the scenario? What theatre will it take place? I would vote for Europe (east or west, doesn't really mather, although a cool russiam front movie would have my vote).

would be cool witha movie when you storm Berlin out skirts you could have big infantry charges and Tank charges ..

I'd like to participate too, though I have one remark:
you'll kinda have trouble if you want to put people from all over the world in, because, well we all live in different timezones (GMT 21.00 would be fine for me, but would prob be bad for others) and you'll have lag.

So plz tell us: which country you are from?

Me, Violater, and Lightning are Dutch.That's +1 GMT (UK=GMT). Yeah I was thinking of some sort of storm map too. Stalingrad would also do nice. Massive infantry charges. But first.. we need a server where we can do our stuff.. so anyone any suggestions? We can't have any n00bs screwing our film up with artillery TK's.

Wow Im really surprised that this many people have responded :)
I just got the full version of Adobe Premiere, but I dont have that much previous movie making experience and to top that off I am working on another movie project for school that invovles "ww2 video games, are they historically accurate?" So my idea is that we all film on one day together and we have seperate people edit the movies (BOB style with what they did with multiple directors)

Well we're going to have to need a server for our own, for at least a period of time. We have to set up a plan first, the exact moves of the players, etc.

Ok first off guys i think we should do something on the eastern front perhaps? We got the hardcore world war 2 nerds here so they can help us out with extra research if we need it :D Im thinking right now we should make it cool, but have some funny scenes...

yeah like the troops joking around after a battle or when they are sitting around like in band of brothers.If it's on the russian front how about you have it in like 5 episodes each 15 mins long with kharkov,stalingrad,storm,karelia and berlin/berlin outskirts.This way it could be like a company of the red army making there way through the war like easy company in bob.Count me out of any acting though i have little time....

I'd suggest you set out a general plan of what you want to do Yama Lama. Who will you film? What will happen? How? ... If you don't have inspiration, ask some forummembers :). The details aren't that important, they should sort themselves out.

hey maybee you cna do a Crete Parachute atack moive were the Fallchirm jägers jump out from the door like irl (their chutes opens directly) it would look very cool maybee you could make some pics form inside plane when they get ready and jump out ...

I was thinking of starting a Crete-based FH machinima miniseries similar to the likes of BoB, Stalingrad, or Das Boot. I was also thinking about a Russian Front series too. I'll be glad to sign on in the creative department as a writer if I can. I also be glad to have an acting job.

Oh I know! How about the Desert Rats(working title?)! It can be a squad of Brits who fight in North Africa!It'd be a great idea.I'd love to make a better tobruk map for it that is more city like :).

I dont have much experience with Adobe Premiere and I don't want to take part in a project that is big until I have 1337 adobe premiere skills. So if anyone else here wants to try to attempt this be my guest. At this moment though im working on a machima movie project dealing with Forgotten Hope and how it can be used to teach middle school students WW2 history, so I don't reall have time. It is focusing on Operation Market Garden and all though its a school project I need actors for the battle scenes. If you would like to be an actor then IM me Or MSN me.......

well i could help with both parts except with the edition i have 1 problem
#1. i need more ram it takes me for ever to do it with 512 mb

but i do have the Jasc Animation Shop havent had much experience with it and i also have FRAP but i cant figure out how to get it the Frame rate over 30 and i also have an audio recorder so i can record anything that plays on my puter

I've been thinking about a Russian series myself, but I have a current obsession with the Eastern Front. It'd be alot better than Crete I think, but I'll keep the Crete idea on the shelf. I wanted to do something lik Midway, Tora! Tora! Tora!, or The Longest Day with Antony Beevor's book Stalingrad, but we can't have real pictures, so maybe a semi-documentary thing. There's a little bit of narroration, using stock footage and zoomed in pictures where we have to, and then use ingame battles to fill it in.
