| I'm restarting the FH boot camp project since I never got around to making the FH 0.7 version. The plan here is to make a set of 3 different boot camp maps. The first boot camp map will have a little basic training obstacle course, various shooting ranges, melee training, grenade training, and a combat zone. The shooting ranges will have targets that are wooden cutouts of opposing armies. The second map will have anti-tank shooting range with various vehicles, tank and light attack vehicle training areas, and a combat zone for tanks. The third map will be about air power, airborne training, and a combat zone with scattered AA guns. As of now, I only have the terrain made for the first map. What I'm trying to do at this moment is get access to the FH2 statics plus inserting some of my own statics.

| you should already have access to the FH2 statics...they are indeed included in the public build. But on a more serious note, if you aren't seeing the FH2 statics make sure you extracted your zip files correctly and loaded them up in the editor. And trust me, adding your own statics is a lot harder than it should be. If I were you I'd skip over that and just use destroyable barrels. There is a nice tutorial below on how to get them to spawn. How to: Spawning Destructable Barrels - Official BF Editor Forums P.S. why not just put all of this on a 1024x2 map and be done w/ it? Thats what I'm doing.

| well the only static I made was a grenade warning sign. There are other signs I plan to use. The signs use the same model, but the front face is different. The other statics I were planning to make are the wooden cutouts of Germans and British.

| These maps... they are for practicing mapping? |

| do I extract the object files and folders in the FH2 folder? If so, I may not have done it right... When I loaded the editor and loaded the FH2 mod, I happened to notice the entire FH2 category was inaccessible. Can't use terrain color or objects from it.

| You extract the objects_client.zip and objects_server.zip to mods/FH2/objects/ You may have to create that folder if it isn't already there.

| ok I extracted the files and folders from these zip files and suggested, but I still haven't figured out why I can't access the mod from the 'resources' panel in the editor. While it says FH2, there's no '+' sign next to it.

| If you follow these instructions: FH2 mapping tutorials - Installing and setting up the bf2editor you can't do anything wrong. Worked perfectly for me (Well, as far as 'perfect' goes when talking about the crappy editor, but that has nothing to do with FH2). Looking forward to your map! Cheers, F.R. |

| in the editor goto Mod>Mod Manager in the top toolbar. Click on the tab that says Editor content, check every box and click ok.

| ok, I got it working now. So far, I have a camp where a team spawns from, an obstacle course (under construction), and a shooting range (also under construction). Here's the camp layout. For some reason there's a low-detail blot of terrain somewhere in that camp. ![]() The obstacle course (can't find big logs to act as balance beams). ![]() The shooting range. The stations where the two guys are standing are for sniper training.
