| I managed to get my custom model signs in, except only one of them shows up in the editor and looks all messed up. ![]() In fact it was supposed to look something like this (minus the legs that hold up the sign)

I believe the project is an army boot camp / training ground map. Its self-explanatory. |

| yeah, I thought I explained this in the first post. Let me go over this again. The boot camp project is a set of maps that are training grounds. The first boot camp map I'm working on is about infantry training. It includes obstacle courses, melee training, shooting ranges, grenade ranges. Both sides will have these. At this moment, the shooting range and obstacle course are 'under construction'. The plan for the first part of the shooting range will have wooden cutouts of opposing armies. Three of those lanes will be used for sniper training since the cutouts in those lanes will be placed farther away. Another part of the shooting range will have mounted machine guns to fire at multiple training targets. The next part of the shooting range will have moving targets. For grenade training, the idea for this is to throw grenades into hollow barrels or into openings of a bunker. The obstacle course will have something that's close to balance beams, an area for climbing, an area for crouching, some area of barbed wire low enough for players to crouch while someone is firing a machine gun, etc. I'm still thinking what else to add here. The big part of this map is the combat zone. I haven't gotten there yet, but it will include various structures, capture points, and the like. I'm hoping to put a fence around the combat zone with certain entrance gates for Axis and Allies to enter to minimize base camping. The other two maps have different kinds of training. One map will have anti-tank weapons with tanks and vehicles for target practice. Another area will have machine-gun-mounted vehicles maneuvering and hitting targets while driving around. There will also be a similar area for tanks. The combat zone is similar except vehicles will also be involved. The third boot camp map is more about air power. This one I'm still brainstorming. Players from both sides will use airplanes whether they're ground attack, fighters, or cargo planes for paratroopers. A training area will just have random vehicles on the ground for planes to attack or for cargo planes to drop paratroopers. At the same time, players can use AA guns scattered around the training area to try to down the planes.

| can anyone help me fix the textures on those sign models that were shown on images the previous thread page? Can't go to bfeditor.org for help due to the fact it's offline.

| I think you will stand better chances to get someone to help if you state more clearly what you are doing Pheeph... I still don't know what you're making... You started the thread in mid-sentence, explaining some maps, but.. what are they for? singleplayer? Mod? mappack? or just for learning how to make maps or models? |

| I guess they will be like a single player tutorial. As a beginner you can try all the weapons on them before you start playing on a real server. They have such tutorials in Americas Army and I think in some other games as well. IMO these tutorials are a little bit boring but maybe they are usefull for total rookies. |
