| I can find nothing wrong with your files, looks exactly like mine. You could check F:\Battlefield 2\dump for the editor dumps or F:\Battlefield 2\bf2editor\Logs and see if you can find anything that makes any sense.

| I did a komplete reinstall of the Editor and now it seems to work. Maybe some files were corrupeted, who knows. But thanks for your efforts to help me Fenring !!!! Now I've a shit load of tutorials waiting for me. Darn mapping and modding for BF1942 was a cakewalk compared to all that BF2 stuff. |

| Good you post here the results, maybe this will help some others having same problem. I never had the luck to be able to map bf1942 but the little i looked the ed42's texturing process is something they really should have implented in bf2editor, paint slopes, a simple but brilliant noise texture creating system and such.

| Hey there. Fenring uses a max hight of 60 Units in his highmap tutorial. What is the absolute max for BF2 maps? Is it 255? And does one terrain unit equal 1meter on my map? |

| Actually those were EA tutorials but anyway I have used heights up 500 and it works, and yes they are supposed to be meters i think. Altough remember that streching to extreme heights usually wont look good, even a mountainpass map shouldnt have to be higher than 2-300 if you make your heightmap correctly, sorry for late reply didnt notice your post.

| Updated the terragen tutorial with some important information about cleaning the detailmap colors, this information i got from [DICE]o2car big thanks to him. Go to the section "Edit the files with Photoshop" to see this new information. Create textures for FH2 in Terragen Also i converted the missing EA tutorials to html, big thanks to doomlab for still keeping these files. Creating a New Team for Battlefield 2 – Maya Version Creating a New Team for Battlefield 2 – Max Version Battlefield 2 Modding Tutorial 7 - Importing and Editing the Basic Car Creating New Kits – Maya and Max Also fixed a minor error in setup tutorial, thanks MasterOhh for spotting this. common_server.zip should of course also be extracted to "common" directory and nothing else.
