List problem Hi well this may seem silly but where do I find the other list of objects? And how can I get the train cars and bridge and crane to appear in the game they just dont show up at all?:uhm: |
Re: List problem I was also curious is the Mine/tunnel a special object that they dont share is the minefield a special object that they dont share |
Re: List problem You mean you want to find list of objects for Battlecraft 1942? Also the mentioned objects have to be in FH files so that new .lst file too. |
Re: List problem no ive got the fh list/files downloaded and ready to use i ment the second list that is the origional bc objects, because it say that they are in seperate "lists" because there were to many objects. and the mentioned objects dont show up in game or they just aren't in the list |
Re: List problem Do you mean 'bf1942.lst'? |
Re: List problem i thinks so |
Re: List problem how do u accesse the bf1942lst list in your fh level |
Re: List problem Well, I'm not sure what you did now but follow these hints to get it working for sure: Download this and use only these files. Now it depends on what is your Battlefield 1942 directorie, if it defferes from defult (C://Program Files/EA GAMES/Battlefield 1942/) open the fh.cfg file with notepad, find directorie and change it to yours - it always have to end up in game bf1942 main folder. Now if you changed this, put both files into Battlecraft 1942 main folder. Start Battlecraft 1942 and go for option "Create New Level", here delete the FH mod and make new one, call it "FH" and tell it to use the fh.cfg (if it will ask) and fh.lst files, after this you can work with these settings. If your battlefield 1942 is not different from defult simply paste both files without changes to Battlefield 1942 main folder and start it, then you're ready to work. this methood works for me fine. |
Re: List problem make sure your bc.cfg file has all these lines in it. i also put them in my fh.cfg aswell. they tell the editor to use both fh and bf42 archives OpenMODArchive=Mods\bf1942\Archives\TreeMesh.rfa OpenMODArchive=Mods\bf1942\Archives\StandardMesh_0 01.rfa OpenMODArchive=Mods\bf1942\Archives\texture_001.rf a OpenMODArchive=Mods\bf1942\Archives\StandardMesh.r fa OpenMODArchive=Mods\bf1942\Archives\texture.rfa OpenMODArchive=Mods\FH\Archives\TreeMesh.rfa OpenMODArchive=Mods\FH\Archives\StandardMesh.rfa any vanilla objects you wish to use while making fh maps, will have to be added to your fh.lst yourself |
Re: List problem Ive got another problem pretty much the same: when I want to put in a... lets say, a PzKW-III tank in my FH level, it ain't there when I play the level! That goes for some German halftracks too (not all of them) and Italian vehicles as well. What exactly should I do? |
Re: List problem i got the same probleme but i also got a ather one i missing al lot of things that are in FH but not in the battlecraft FH things like kits and Vehicles and props etc how do i get these in my battlecraft FH |
Re: List problem You'll have to edit your .lst files to get them. There's a 1024 objects-limit so they couldnt include all objects. The .lst file is called "fh" and you can find it in this folder by default: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlecraft 1942 (make sure you do not open the .cfg file). Make a backup if you're gonna edit the file! Open it with Notepad. Then you make a new category like this (example: category called "custom"): [CUSTOM] (here come the objects you add) Maximum 32 categories! Under this name you should type the objects you want to add in BC and which aren't in the .lst file yet. I use winRFA and the file "standardmesh.rfa" (can be found in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\FH\Archives for FH objects and C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Archives for BF1942 objects) to see all existing objects. Open "standardmesh". Just look at the filenames, and put the object's names you want to use in the .lst file using the right syntax (explained in the top of the .lst life). If you want to add one of the objects you added in BC, go to the new category you created (example here was CUSTOM) and you should be able to place the object. This works for every object, except for kits. I don't know how to add them yet. |
Re: List problem ill have to understand this first but thanks |

why when i adde things out of fh in the fh.its i can see them in battlecraft but when i save and test the lvl there gonne and i cant see them but wel i go back to battle craft i can see them is the programme trying to get me to lose me mind |
Re: List problem these are my: FH.lst FH.cfg BC.cfg put them in your main Battlecraft folder, and they should work for you. they dont contain everything, but it will get you started. save your old lst and cfg's and compare them to mine, and see where they differ. this will help you to learn to edit them properly. and always make backup copies of them, before editing them too |
Re: List problem Before you'll use his files. Open them and make sure that directories fit your installations. |
Re: List problem they are set to default, so unless he installed to something other than the default directory, it should work fine. |
Re: List problem Usualy people don't install games on C partition of HD as it is dangerous to keep important files with system. |
Re: List problem it would simply be easy to post here, rather than posting a new thread. did you ever solve the problem with not being able to see objects ingame, im having this problem with the sniper tower. i use BC42 and FH 0.7, and yes before you ask i have increased the size, as is suggested with the ammobox. but still no luck, any help? |
