Re: one error

edit: I thought this was some kind of bug report

Re: one error

It's an error with your staticobjects.con, look in there.

Real-BadSeed December 14th, 2004 04:43 PM

Re: one error

ive had errors like that before, and this was the cause.

one of your static objects is borked, its name will be strange symbols instead of its usual name (extract ur staticobjects.con and look thru it).

FIXES: delete borked object and replace with new object again(in the editor).

Or edit your staticobjects.con and replace the name with the proper one, and add your staticobject.con back into your map.

if thats what it is,this should fix it for you.

other than that i cant help ya

Re: one error

mmm what is "borked object"

Real-BadSeed December 14th, 2004 05:15 PM

Re: one error

borked object = the object is messed up like your map :P
the editor sometimes records the name of an object, in a strange way
strange symbols, instead of its proper name and causes a error.

i.e.

rem
rem *** ***
rem
Object.create sandbag_2m_m1
Object.absolutePosition 1837.75/47.06/1992.24
Object.rotation 0.00/0.00/0.00
rem
rem *** ***
rem
Object.create #$&@*)(% <---------------------------------------------------HERE
Object.absolutePosition 1739.63/40.10/1894.53
Object.rotation 85.00/-3.00/-10.00
rem
rem *** ***
rem
Object.create stebarbwire_m1
Object.absolutePosition 1750.01/40.16/1894.62
Object.rotation 90.00/2.00/0.00
rem
rem *** ***
rem
Object.create stebarbwire_m1
Object.absolutePosition 1760.28/40.06/1894.72
Object.rotation 90.00/0.00/0.00

something like that, examine your static objects list to find it

mmm....revisited...not is borked object.......shit.

Re: one error

this error shows up after loading your map in FH? right? I wonder what it is that is doing that... are you using bc or some other program to make your map? did you try to do something new with any of the objects, did you try and place something that is unfinished in the map? it seems directly related to your static objects .con, so maybe rethink some of the stuff that is maybe a little "iffy" ...

Re: one error

Point will check it to seeing that it happens
