Forgotten Hope 2.1 Problems & Solutions

Hi guys, there is a problem, I already downloaded and installed FH2.
I can say that it is pretty awesome and it is definitely best BF2 mod I ever played, but I have no West Front maps. I have only North Africa maps.
Can anyone tell me what to download to have these maps? thanx.

Normandy hasn't been released yet. Tentative guessing says it may be released in September. Might be sooner, might be later. Right now, you have to live with the desert and the couple Mediterranean maps.

Also, these forums are no longer "official." The FH Devs have moved their forums to http://fhpubforum.warumdarum.de/index.php. This happened during the FileFront closure scare Late March-Early April. The Devs decided not to come back after that.

You can continue to post here, but you'll have better luck (and likely a faster response) at the new forums. Only a few die-hard fans and people who don't like the new forums (for whatever reason) stay here. Some people (like me) frequent both.

Anyway, welcome to Forgotten Hope. It's always good to see new people around.

ok, thanks for info, I will wait for it. So, do I understand it good, that there is no map using US weapons?

Not yet. So far, 3 US vs Germany maps (Purple Heart Lane, Point du Hoc, and Operation Luttich) have been shown to us, and will be included in 2.2 (the next patch). There are also 2 other maps featuring Britain vs Germany in Normandy that will included as well (Operation Goodwood and Lebisey). Of course, there will (hopefully and very likely) be several other amps in the release, but they are apparently not ready to be shown to the public just yet.

You can go the FH main site (Forgotten Hope) and browse through the new maps, weapons, and vehicles, as well as the recent news updates. The vehicles and weapons tabs are a bit outdated, but they are apparently going to be updated very soon.

That is why I am asking, I already browse FH main site, and I saw all these US weapons and vehicles, and all these West Front maps but as You know now, I did not have any in my FH2. So I asked, now I know, thanks a lot, bye for now...

As for your problem, it seems that PunkBuster is detecting a program that it doesn't like on your computer. If you or someone in your family downloaded hacks, that is an obvious problem. If you didn't, maybe a different program is sending up a false positive. I can't check, but there are people on the main FH forums who can check if your name has been globally banned by PB.

It might something else entirely. My advice is to ask o nthe new forums.

Since W-D forums are acting up, it is best that we do our utmost to help others.

Sometimes Punkbuster does not update everything at once, so I suggest that you attempt multiple Manual PunkBuster updates. I had a similar issue ages ago and it was resolved by 5 PB updates over a couple of days.

Also, when you load up the map, try to access the command menu using the Tilde key "~".

Once menu is open, try to see if you can read the installation message of PB A and PB B, it will give a message like " PB A succesfully installed ".
