WARNING "You must run FH2 with FH2.exe"
 

I was wondering how I fix this problem. I can play the game, but I get a screen that tells me that I must up-date my short cuts so that FH2 launches with FH2.exe and not BF2.exe. I changed the shortcuts to FH2.exe, even the short cuts for BF2, but I still get that screen. I did this by right clicking on the short cuts and changing the target field. The screen stays up for a few minutes, then the game launches.

Any ideas?

It doesn't work like this. You should not change the BF2.exe, leave it as it is.

Use the default shortcut that gets placed on your dekstop or start menu when you install the mod.

Thats what I did, but I got the WARNING screen.

I got the same porblem, my shortcut is directred to the FH2.exe and it still gives me the same page. I even get it when I start it directly through the fh2.exe :(

Yeah actually I have this issue as well. Do you guys use a cracked CD image of BF2? I was using one (because I left my BF2 discs at college... DOH!) and I got this message. It's possible that the crack is interfering with how FH wants to load.

Just my own suggestion.

I got this problem with Vista and for me running fh2.exe as administrator solves it.

Won't load FH2!
 

Arrgh!
Ican't get it to work, it keeps asking for me to change the shortcut path to run "FH2.exe" and "not BF2.exe", but my shortcut does call FH2.exe
I looked in a text file that reports the progress of FH2 and it was attempting to move directories around in my BF2 folder that don't exist - "Cache" and others. I have something called "logocache"... Any ideas?

check the other thread.

to cut it short. go to the properties of you fh2.exe and tag "run as admin"
